I just booked my kids on the Caribbean Pirate Adventure at the Caribbean Beach Resort. My original plan was for them to do the pirate adventure at the GF while my husband and I had breakfast at Kona Cafe. We we're really looking forward to trying the tonga toast I've read so much about. The GF doesn't offer the pirate cruise on the day we wanted it, so we switched to the CB adventure. Now I don't know what to do for breakfast. Is there anywhere besides the food court, nearby, that has a good breakfast? I don't want to go too far off from the kids. This is only our second trip so I'm not familiar with which resorts and restaurants are nearby. Thanks for the advice!

Is there any way of switching the Pirate Cruise to the one at the Yacht Club??? They have an excellent breakfast at the Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club with a very nice buffet or you can order off the menu. We discovered this when we had my niece with us and she did the Pirate Cruise from there and we ate right there at the Yacht Club. We always eat there at least once a trip since we stay at the Boardwalk, so it's not only a great meal, but also convenient for us.

One more thing. The cruise is called the Albatross Treasure Cruise I think and they go around World Showcase to various countries at EPCOT looking for treasure and then end up at the "wrecked ship" by the Beach Club pool. It's very nice.

We just ate in the food court. CBR is HUGE, so I think you would waste most of your time traveling to go anywhere else. The food court wasn't bad - not tonga toast, but not bad. After breakfast, we walked around the resort and shopped in the gift shop.

This year our boys went on the one that leaves from Port Orleans. We had time to eat at the POR food court and go back to our room at POFQ before the cruise was back.

I'm not sure why, but my boys liked the POR pirate cruise more than the CBR one. :confused3

Gosh, I haven't been to CBR since 1997. I don't remember a TS restaurant open at breakfast. They did have a large food court though. They may have something similar to Tonga Toast, but don't remember this food court serving it when we stayed at CBR. I would keep calling about ADRs until your departure day. Maybe something will open up for you. Good luck getting that Tonga Toast. It is definitely worth the trouble to get. The pineapple macadamia nut pancakes look delish, too.
