Lunch with the Playhouse Disney Characters at MGM?
My youngest DS4 I believe would love it

Wanted to see who did it and if it was worth it
What characters? Little Einsteins? JoJo? What about Bear in the BBH?

Thanks Guys

Characters are: JoJo & Goliath and 2 of the 4 Little Einsteins. (1 boy & 1 girl, normally)

Our DS4 loved this meal even thought he didn't eat much because he was too excited. It was June, Leo, Jo Jo and Golaith. They dance and sing and have a lot of fun. the food was ok but I wasn't impressed with any of the food on the buffets we did but that was just me. My DH thought it was pretty good. We are looking at doing it for Breakfast in Dec. for DS birthday.

It was wonderful! Here's my review from my May 2007 trip report:

Dining Review 3
I must confess, I was a little nervous about this one. The DIS reviews were all over the place and we had the last seating for breakfast. Would there be any food left? If so, would it all be cold and rubbery? Would we only have 5 minutes to get food before they turned it over to lunch and kicked us out? Would B completely freak out when he saw the characters?

Okay, so I’m a worrier.

But my worries were completely wasted on H&V – everything was just wonderful!

There was still plenty left of the breakfast buffet: scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, hash browns, pancakes, bacon, sausage, quiche, Mickey waffles… and it was all fresh, the right temp and very, very good.

Not long after the last of us hit the buffet (we went in shifts so someone would always be there with the little guys and a camera!), a CM came by and asked me if we’d all had enough from the buffet, as they were ready to turn it over to lunch, but would wait if we weren’t done. Wow! I said, no, please don’t wait on us and she went on to tell me we were welcome to avail ourselves of the LUNCH offerings, too.

Did you get that, people? Breakfast AND lunch, baybee!!! That last breakfast seating is totally the way to go.:cool1:

I was full, but Gramma and D reported lots of yummy offerings from the lunch buffet.

And. Of course, there were the characters. Leo was so excited to meet his hero, he barely ate. (The popcorn fest may have had something to do with that, too.:rolleyes1 )

B wasn’t so sure…

But he warmed up to June:

BTW, June was really weird. When she came to the table, she didn’t go to the kids – she just stood there posing for pics by herself. I was like “Uh, no – I’m not wasting shots on just you. Get down there with my kid lady!” Strange.:confused3

Jojo and Goliath were well-received:

We all agreed this was an awesome experience all-around. The character interaction was terrific and the food was truly good. A unanimous 5 thumbs up!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We did breakfast nad my kids enjoyed it even DS9 although it was for his brother really:rotfl2:

DS4 was absolutely star struck when Leo came over. He sleeps with a Leo doll and was just in awe. They also have people who get the kids up to sing songs and dance and I think there was a parade. DS4 would not participate but he liked watching.
