I couldn't secure a FP for flight of passage. So the debate: just do FoP and Navi River back to back after rope drop with NO FP's?? (I also couldn't get a morning Navi FP). OR get a FP for Navi River closer to when we will be leaving the park and go to Pandora second time that day?? If we do the second I don't have a chance to book additional FPs, but worried about the wait at both in the morning too. Anyone experience the wait times? thank you!!

Leaving which park? Pandora is just a land in AK, if you meant leaving AK to get to pandora. You probably won't get a same day FP for either attraction. Watch the app for waits. If you rope drop get there early. Lots of people have the same idea of rope dropping FoP.

Keep trying to snag a FP for one of them. You never know. Now if you don't get one then if you want to ride both I would do FOP and then Navi.

I have a FP for Navi right now- but it is late in the day, so we would go as a last ride when leaving the park. I would still do FOP first thing after rope drop. I just wasn't sure if I should just do Navi right after FOP with no FP in the morning, or worth walking back to land of Pandora later in the day to use the FP?? I would just be missing the opportunity to make more FPs in the day, but that is ok if you all think its worth keep the later day Navi :)

If you're interested in an alternate strategy, I've seen recent wait times as short as 40 minutes for FoP and 10 minutes for the River after 9 pm.

In the future (or now even), just FYI, the fastpass availability is always changing.
If you just refresh/go back a step and back into the available tickets page, you may end up with what you want.

One day like 3 days before I was going to AK, Navi River Journey FP showed up! Of course I snagged it. And I was just curious to see, and I refreshed on and off several times and different times were popping up that night and the next day.

I mean, its addicting like a slot machine waiting to see if that fastpass you want to be let go by someone else, but it happens.

For our July trip I had hoped for an early fp for fop or Na'vi so we could do both right away but the earliest I could get was fop at 11:40. I ended up being really happy it worked out that way because we rope dropped Na'vi then got out of pandora fast while it was crazy and out into the rest of AK to take advantage of low/no wait times. Then when we went back to our fp, the lines for the rides were more orderly and the herd was dispersed a bit and we could enjoy pandora and look around a bit and had lunch at the canteen. So my recommendation would be shoot for a lunchtime fp. You can still try for 4th and more fp after, but there is some breathing room.

I am a morning person so I'll add my vote for rope drop. I followed easywdw's advice, arrived at 7:30am and finished both FoP and Navi River by 9:17am. See my trip report here:
