Okay, I asked earlier about adding on a room only night at the front end of our WDW stay. After further consideration, I think it might make sense to book a room only night at the END of our stay (since we'll be leaving at 6 AM or so the last morning and won't need the dining plan that day). SO here's what I need to know before I call Disney, so I know what to expect and what to ask for.
Our current ressies are Friday, April 27th through Sunday, May 6th. What I would like to do is shift this reservation so that it's April 26th through May 5th. I would then like to book a room only reservation for May 5th so we won't have to spend $100 on the DDP for that last night (we'd have until midnight that last night to use our remaining DDP credits and wouldn't wish to use any our morning of departure anyway). SO - will Disney be able to move the reservation date up by one day without totally cancelling and rebooking? I am concerned about this mainly because I'm booked under the park hopper promotion and worry about losing the promotional deal if the reservation has to be totally cancelled and rebooked.
Second, can I go ahead and make the seperate room-only reservation for the last night while on the phone with the rep, or should I wait and do that on a second call? I'm just not sure how it all works and if they might give me a hard time about adding that one room-only night. I'll also be using AAA discount for that last night, which I wasn't able to use for the package booking.
Sorry for the long-winded post - I sat on hold tonight for 10 minutes and the recording said it would be a long wait, so I gave up. If I have to wait a long time again tomorrow, I at least will be prepared with what to expect.
