so here is my issue and not sure what to do about it....next month taking my wives parents and brother his wife and their 2 kids to a 2 bedroom for about 5 days. so we are maxed out 6 adults 3 kids total. now 4ish weeks away her sister said she wants to come. so now my dilemma we obv have no official way to add her to anything expect maybe to fastpasses. dining reservations and the room. now my brother in law is driving in so we dont need his magical express tickets so i know i can at least get her to the resort. second obv no where to sleep but the floor again in law can bring a sleeping bag....so has any one had this happen to them? i am sure i am not the first person to be one person over in the history of DVC just wondering what others has done..........what do i say i dont want to be like no you cant go but i also am unsure on any problem we could have.....i am not worried about the dining bc one of the kids is an infant and i can say we need an extra height chair.

I would tell your sister that the room is at legal capacity and she is welcomed to book her own room.

You can all be kicked out if Disney finds you over capacity- I would look and see if their is a studio you could book (unlikely but possibly at SSR) for her or tell her she will have to get her own room on or off property. You can call in and try to have the dining reservation increased- they are in no way tied to the room, some will be easier than others.

People do it with kids and think nothing of it. Do the kids need keys to the room? Perhaps take off one of them and add your sister.

i would not have come to ask a question if we had the means or the option to book another room in such short notice.....its a yes or no decision for me to make.....i was just trying to ask if this has happened to other people before.....last minute people coming on their trips and what they have done said no or made it work.....i am sure especially people who drive in have put 5 or 6 into a one bedroom before.

If it were me, I'd tell her "sorry, can't do it, we have no room." But I am a rule follower by nature.

I think that providing detailed information about how to break the rules is generally frowned upon. You'll generally get a list of the consequences and alternative solutions when you ask a question like this. Nobody can tell what the odds are that you'll get caught, even if someone did admit to it and provide their individual experience. I'm not sure what type of response you were expecting.

Worst case, you all get kicked out. Anyone not listed in the reservation will not have a key to the room or, if gated, the pool. They will not be able to charge back to the room, and they won't get the 60 day fast pass window.

You don't mention where you're staying. There are now some two bedroom lockoffs that actually sleep 10. I know VGF does. I'm not sure if BCV or BWV do yet. Two studios at PVB also sleep 10.

That said, I'm not sure you actually have a problem. Generally speaking the first infant doesn't count against occupancy. If the child you listed is actually an infant (under 3), then you should be able to add another person to the reservation.

I agree. Like 1BR's are allowed to have 5 adults - although you must provide bedding for one the 2BR's are allowed 9 adults but you must provide bedding for 1. And some of the lockoffs (VGF and VWL) actually have beds for the 9. And of course BLT, AKV and OKW at WDW all allow and have beds for 9 in the dedicated 2 BR's. One infant does not count towards the occupancy but if there were more than one then the second would.

Call and ask at Member Services. As others have stated it is very dependent on where you stay as many rooms now have the drop down bed and if you have a lockoff, it may be possible to have 2 of those? (I'm not sure if the lockoffs such as at BWV have the small bed in both the one bedroom and studio?)

What are the ages of the kids and what resort are you staying at?

If any of the kids are under 3, you'll be OK. IF not, I'd agree with calling. You might be OK with AKV Kidani, OKW, VWL or BLT in a 2 BR, just ask MS. Otherwise there isn't an ethical or honest way to do so.

You have more than one wife? ;)

Seriously, what resort are you staying at. That makes a difference and what are the ages of the kids?

We are at wilderness and ha only one wife..... no kids under 3 they are 4,4 and 11 so we are maxed called member services don't have a lock off. So no worries i can't add them above board.
