Need Advice Cheap(er) Airfare Needed

Need some advice, we had a trip planned and it fell apart at last minute. Trying to put together a trip from OKC to Orlando, leave on Tuesday and come back on Saturday.

All flights are too expensive or wont work with our schedule, willing to drive to Dallas or KC.

Any flights that you know of that will help?

Very difficult to get last minute airfare. Southwest is about $600rt. Hotwire lists some flights as low as $367rt but times may not be good. Spirit shows some flights out of Dallas for $375, one RT as low as $274 but its a red eye.

We are now in the beginning of the summer travel time period and you can expect high flight prices. A lot of the airlines have said that due to the high fuel costs they are raising their flight prices. Trying to book last minute will be a challenge to get a good flight prices. the other option would be to fly into Tampa which is an hour and a half drive to WDW

When is your trip? If it still a few months away, your airfare might still drop. Even if WGA fares are listed as gone, I have seen them come back. Depends on how far away your trip is.

I use http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ to look at most airfares. Southwest will not be on that website so you'll have to look it up separately. I would try to be a tiny bit more flexible in your dates if you can. Good luck!

As previous posters have noted, you are confronting two challenges, the summer travel rush and rising oil prices, complicated by trying to find last minute seats. I just booked a trip to Orlando for late July and paid more than I had seen when I looked a just a month ago.

If you were already planning to rent a car then Shelly F- Ohio's suggestion of Tampa is a good alternative to consider. As is being willing to drive to a larger airport to have more options.
