Need a referral for the current DVC purchase incentive?

Our guide yesterday(7/22) said that the minimum we could purchase at AK was 160 points and the incentives were $8 off so each point would effectively be $96, not $104. One developer point at Saratoga to be used within a year per point purchased, so we would get 160 for purchasing 160. She only mentioned the $500 bonus (which she thought was a credit to the account) if my sister used her Disney Visa card for the purchase/downpayment.

As mentioned...you could buy in with as little as 100 pts if that works with your sister's budget a little better -- however, that amount of pts does not qualify for the $500 giftcard when using a Disney Visa.

There is always time to add a referral. We added ours after several conversations with my guide before we bought. They want to make the sale...

To whoever wanted the referral in Texas...it is my understanding that Texans cannot earn referrals (only certain states can according to regulations or laws). We live in TX and I was going to use someone from the Disboards/TUG that had been helpful to us but she is from Texas and told me she cannot earn referrals.

I understand there is an additional incentive of $500 Disney Dollars if you were a Disney Card Visa Holder as of June, 2008...

That one is nice too...I just called Disney Visa...They said the Dollars can be held for I believe 5 yrs if you don't order a reward card....

I was told you cannot get BOTH THE Incentive from a Current DVC Member and the $500 Disney Visa Rewards Dollars..........

Anyone here anything different.....Wouldn't that be nice to get both?????????????

Hi, if you are looking to buy DVC there is a brand new deal out there that our guide just informed us of today that you can only get if you give them a current DVC member name as a referral. If you are currently looking to buy PM me and I'll give you the details of this AWESOME deal!

Current incentives are:

New Members ONLY
AKV ONLY
Minimum 160 points
Dec Use Year
Points can not be used until May 2009
$104 point
Less $8/point = $96/point
No dues paid until May 2009
Equal to purchase developer points--must be used within one year and ONLY at SSR

With a DVC Referral:
All of the above
PLUS $500 Visa Gift Card (expires one year) per 160 points purchased. For example, if purchasing 320 points, you will receive $1000 gift card.
