Water for Elephants was good, but for 14? Not sure I'd let my 14 year old read it. Does have sex stuff in it. I think a 14 year may be bored with the book. Just my opinion...

I'm another who wasn't into the whininess of Holden Cauffield. No one cares that you just found out the world is full of phoneys. Maybe it's more of a "guy" book.
