O.K. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it's frowned upon to order a dinner at the California Grill and to split it, you know share it. For one thing it's expensive to eat there and for another, I hate having to pay for food I'm not going to eat because I usually can't eat all that food. I will probably get my own salad and a drink so I'll still be spending money and we might share a dessert too. Do they charge and extra fee for splitting a meal? Also is it worth it to eat there in order to see the fireworks? Thanks Sheila:cheer2:

There's no problem. My d and I split an appetizer and an entree in January and had no issue with it. We weren't on the dining plan; I don't know if that would make a difference.

No problem at all. Tell them you are going to split and they will do it in the kitchen for you. When we split it comes out with enough food you don't even realize you are splitting.

You can split if you like with no problems. That said the portion sizes are smaller at the signature restaurants than at the others and you may not want to. For example I ate at California Grill on my honeymoon and my husband and I thought we'd share the Goat Cheese Ravioli Appetizer which they happily accomodated with no issues. We each recieved 1/2 of the single piece of ravioli on separate plates. We started laughing once we saw that because we had wrongly assumed that the appetizers were sized to share with the whole table when clearly they were not. Exellent food though and I would reccomend eating there.

There's no problem ordering anything on an a la carte menu and sharing it. I've even made meals of just appetizers and dessert. It's not frowned upon.
