If you decide to go to Gainesville, make sure you get there about 2 1/2 hours before the game to see Gator Walk. It's where the players get off the buses and walk to the Stadium. The drive from WDW to G'ville is not bad--- we have done it many times.


There really is a difference in Football atmospheres as far as conferences go in the US. You want to see an SEC game. There's a reason people say we're "passionate".

Oh and..... Go Gators!!!

Huge difference between UF and UCF. Spend the extra time and money to see the Florida Gators, experience in the Swamp is like no other. Great opportunity for you to see a top 25 college team in the best conference in the nation.

Understand that if you go to the UF game the crowd will be cheering against UK. hehehe I will agree that UCF is a carppy place to go, but think Tampa and USF would be the best choice.

Don't let others fool you USF may not be the best college football experience, but they are playing Rutgers (go big red, go Scarlet Knights)!
Either the UF, or USF games will be great, UCF, so so. You might want to see if Tampa Bay is playing, a real NFL experience.

I'm not a fan of either team but if you want the real American college experience, go to Gainesville. It's an easy 2 hr drive. Get there early to enjoy the pregame tailgating. Since they are playing UK the game will probably be over by the start of the 4th quarter. If you don't want to sit in a big traffic jam leave the game early. I just checked on stubhub and there are plenty of good tickets for $75-50.

FYI - Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL) are playing the 16th at home. That's also an easy 2 hr 30 min drive. Tickets will be easy to get but that's because the team is really bad. Tampa Bay is playing away games both weekends.

Totally agree with this. If you are wanting to get the whole American Football experience the Swamp is where it's at. Nothing quite like SEC football!!

Well, if they want to see REAL SEC football, they'd have to fly to Baton Rouge...

Hey guys i am big fan of American Football as we call it here in the UK and would love to sample a college game after going to London last year and watching a NFL game

I was wondering who is the nearest College Team and how easy is it to get there and back

OR you could drive 2 & 1/2 hours to Jacksonville, FL and watch a Jaguars game. I know, I know... Much farther away and who can be sure about the quality. BUT...starting next year they will be playing one home game in Wembley Stadium for the next four years. Just saying... Get a head start!

Seriously, the swamp would be a great experience, but if you want easy, USF is the way to go.
