Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

I have a CM F&F reservation. I have not added tickets nor DDP yet. I can see my resort reservation and all my ADRs on MDE. You do not need to do anything to your ADRs, if they are showing up on MDE. It ahppens all the time that people make ADRs prior to adding DDP. They will simply ask you at the restaurant how you are paying.

How did you add tickets and DDP to your reservation? Can you see your tickets linked in MDE? When are you going? This is the first time I am booked through CM F&F and I am trying to find the best way to add tickets that will show up correctly on MDE.

I called the CM line and added the dining plan, I had to change my room type to get the discounted DP, it is very limited apparently. They also added my tickets in, I didn't buy my tickets with a discount, it wasn't a huge difference and the CM has to buy them in person. My tickets do show up in MDE and I was able to add FP+.

Had this issue w my husband, I had to change his privacy settings to allow me to "see" his ticket. We also have a package w dining plan. Dining reservations have no issues.

Our issue is that I can see his and my ticket on the computer, but nothing on the app, iPhone or iPad. Weird.

Privacy settings?

Other than myself it's just my three kids on my ressie. None of them have their own MDE accounts.

I click on Family & Friends on the MDE app.

I can see each member of the party (my 3 kids).
...

I'm just concerned. Is anyone else having this particular issue? All the CM would say is that "she" could see my tickets. :surfweb::confused3

The source of information that the app shows and what the web shows are not the same oddly. why the app gets info from another source, who can say... (besides it's stupid). But personally as long as the web is OK i ignore the missing information in the app.

Question. I had to cancel my parent package at Pop and convert to room only and I just booked myself a room only at YC. Is there somewhere in the MDE that I can add our Magical Express information or do I need to call? I can't seem to find a link to add our flight info.....

as far as I know you have to call to add your Magical Express flight info!

You can try this link

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/reservations/dme/index?goBack=true

I ended up adding mine when I called for tickets and to add my DP, so not sure if the link works.

Thanks. There's no discounted DDP for my dates (yet) Jan 5-12 for my F&F reservation. Patiently waiting for it...

I was full of trepidation when I logged into MDE :scared:, but for the most part it seems to be working for me. I only used the phone app to scan my ticket bar codes since I couldn't tell the difference between O and 0 :p.

Everything shows up, just have one tiny glitch with my friend's daughter.

When I signed up, our reservation was already linked. I made ADR's and since my friend was not set up yet, entered her name and her daughter's name for the ADR's. I then saw both of their names in Friends and Family, along with my DS and DH.

She set up her account, and we invited each other. I can see her, the check mark and the icon she changed. She can see the ADR's. However, her daughter still is just the plain icon, with a message that I manage her as well as the invite button (my DH and DS in the same).

Should her daughter be in there, or should I delete her since she manages her :confused3? Or will this delete her from the ADR's? We will be doing lots of rides together, so we want to be able to copy our FP+ info with each other.

Any help on this would be much appreciated, thanks in advance :goodvibes!

I previously had several WDW accounts over the years. DVC, ABC, Disneyworld, etc.

Now, my MDE app is connected to what WAS my DVC login (which is a simple "name" type login - WITH an email address connected to it, but the email address is not the login.)

BUT apparently somewhere else in WDW I used my email address as a login so I have a separate account under that login (not my MDE one.) This screws up my MDE in that sometimes when I enter an email address, it logs me out of MDE and uses my EMAIL address as my login and as a result MDE no longer recognizes anything about my saved MDE profile.

Can I eliminate that old disneyworld.com email login somehow... without screwing up my MDE app (which has a simple "name" login but that same email address does appear under my contact info.)

So confusing... I know.. anyone else have this issue?
:confused3

I have this exact same issue, and after 3 phone calls trying to sort it out etc, I gave up. Good luck!

if i recall...
you need to call dvc member services. they will aim yo uto a website to link the two accounts. While you are on the phone with them and looking at the website (so have computer ready) they give you a magic code that you type in. Presto chango both accounts become one.

Now be prepared for the ensuing mess of duplicate entries that likely will occur if you have accidently added info to the two different versions of MDE in your name (or more likely their messed up systems did before you realized you had to merge the accounts- hopefully you have no outstanding reservations...) If you are lucky all we be fine, if not you might be able to clear it up on your own, but possibly if you have some info linked to each different MDE a call to disney IT will then be required for them to clean it up.

has anyone set up a family member on their account, linked up tickets and reservations, and then made FP+s- AND THEN 'invited' the person to open their own account?

my kid is 12 so can't have his own account. We're all set for a December trip. His birthday is before we go so he'll be 13. I'm curious if it's easy peasy to let him have his own account (so he can use the app on his phone) - or if i'd be playing with fire?

as far as I know you have to call to add your Magical Express flight info!

I forgot to call and give my flight info to ME on our trip 2 weeks ago, and our Magic Bands worked no issues to get us on the bus when we arrived (not that it would have mattered if I had given them the info as our flight got cancelled and we arrived 6 hours late!) They just got my departure info before they sent us to the line for the bus, so they could be sure to pick us up at the resort at the right time on departure day. As long as you have ME on your reservation, you should be fine even if you didn't give them your flight times.

Is there a way to add a tour that we have reserved onto our itinerary?

I booked a tour yesterday for January and the CM told me that I would not receive an email confirmation and that it would not be linked to MDEx or our MBs. They must be getting questioned about it, because it was part of her info speech on what the tour required, I didn't ask. You just get a confirmation # that you bring with you to check-in. As PP mentioned, you could probably place your conf # in the 'notes' section - I just put mine on my phone notes in case I can't get into MDEx when I need it.

Only using the 'Note' feature.

Thanks to both of you. 'Notes' was the only place i could see to put it also.

That's very interesting on what the CM told you about it not being linked anywhere. When DH made the reservation yesterday, the CM told him that she knew it could be added to MDE but she just wasn't sure how to do it. Perhaps she was just meaning adding to the 'Notes" section. :confused3

I ran into the same thing with MNSSHP. I had a paper copy with a barcode on it. I had to take it with me and I could only add the details in Notes. Eventually I hope everything can be linked in MDE and just show up on the MagicBands. The last thing I want to worry about is having documents with me.
