Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

I updated Android app today. My room reservation does not show up. And when I try to manually link it, it says it is linked and hit ok to see it, but never shows up. Dining shows 1 reservation that does not show up on the web, but was made a few weeks ago, after all the others had been made.

Thanks to this thread I did the manual update on my droid yesterday and....YAY! It is looking good! :cool1: Now I am afraid to touch it for fear something will disappear! LOL!

Still no luck on my Samsung Tab2. Has anyone been able to get the app on that yet? It is telling me the app is not available for my device.:confused3

Sounds like the park maps are going to be redesigned along the lines of those on the MDE.

New 'My Disney Experience' inspired park maps coming soon

New 'My Disney Experience' inspired park maps coming soon
Feb 22, 2013 | 10:28am EST

A new set of 'My Disney Experience' inspired guidemaps will be coming to all Walt Disney World properties on March 3 2013. The new and improved maps have a similar look to the electronic 'My Disney Experience' apps and website, using similar icons and artwork. The new maps will be available at the four main parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, and Downtown Disney.

I've searched this thread as well as all of the boards and didn't see the answer to this question. I was able to link my reservation on MDE but it just says MYW pkg, but doesn't tell me the number of days worth of park tickets that I purchased nor that I purchased the park hopper option. Has anyone experienced that or is my reservation on MDE wrong?

TIA!

So as to my missing dining reservations: I called DVC member services back and they said that there were no phone numbers attached to the reservations that they made for me and that once made, phone numbers could not be added. No way to link them to MDE. So I cancelled Raglan Road and rebooked it on the MDE so now that one shows. I am unable to book the Garden View Tea Room on line(error says try later every time). So I called Member Services again and cancelled the tea room and had them rebook it and attach my phone number. Now when I try to link this one, I go through all 3 steps successfully, but when I look at my reservations, it isn't there. Guess I will wait 24 hours before I call again to try to get my last reservation on the MDE.

I don't think there is any provision to show ticket features within MDE. But its a DARNED GOOD SUGGESTION!!!! I don't have anything that shows my 7D+PH tix...now, having said that, I think there is an implicit notion that if you add tickets to a Room Only reservation, it automagically becomes a MYW, so perhaps the tickets are implied. That doesn't show ParkHopper, though.

I live in the UK and have visited WDW many times before. I have a 2 week holiday booked to stay at the Art of Animation in May.
I stumbled across the MDE app a couple of days before it was first mentioned on the show and thought it looked pretty good.
As it has evolved I have linked my dining reservations to it and found this really easy to do.
I have just paid the balance of the hoilday and when I received the final invoice I thought I would try to link my reservation to MDE as well.
I booked through Virgin Holidays, the invoice has lots of numbers on it called, Booking Reference, Airline Booking Reference and the Invoice No. - none of these are the correct number, so I rang Disney. They said that I should contact Virgin and get the 'Client File Number'. I rang Virgin and they were able to give this to me (this is a 12 digit number - mine looks similar to a dining reference).
I was now able to go back to the website and link the reservation - no - didn't work. So I rang Disney again - this time I was on the phone for 30 minutes while they checked my refence numbers my MDE login details - It was all fine, however they couldn't get it to work either - the upshot is - 'We are having a number of technical issues at the moment - everything you are trying to do is correct, it just won't work. Try again in a couple of days'.

Hmmmm....

My MDE is not recognizing me today. Technical issues again, hopefully once they finish this update, it will be better. However a few people have stated now they see their info. Hit and miss I guess for now.

So I have a question. I booked my ADRs this morning (had to call), and both the website and the app on my phone are showing them. Now the problem is I never got my email confirmations so I looked at them online and saw that the CM forgot to put the @ in my email address. I called to have them correct this and resend my confirmations and was told it will take a while for the change to go through. Does anyone know how long it takes for changes like these to show up?

Thank you!

ETA - After 3 hours, I decided to call dining back to ask how long it takes for an email address to be updated. The CM said usually pretty quickly so she looked at my ressies and asked me my correct email address and updated them all for me. As soon as I hit refresh, my correct email address was there. So glad I called since the first CM didn't update my email address.

I also found out that there is no way for them to email a confirmation for dining ressies that are booked over the phone. You only get them if they're booked online.

I can't even find the My Disney Experience web page right now. Is it down for repairs?

I was so happy to see this. I can now see my room ressie, my family members travelling with me and my profile. All in time for me to make my dining ADRs on Monday.:cool1: Hopefully the 180+10 will be working now so I won't have to call.

I have been trying to make my dining reservations on MDE. The 180 + is not working but my first two days went smoothly and the reservations showed up on the MDE. Today I kept getting an error message and unable to search for tables at this time, so I called DVC member services to make the dining reservations I would be able to make today and tomorrow. The cm said that the reservations should automatically show up on MDE, but they are not. Should I try to link them manually or wait to see if they show up in a day or so?

piglet33, I'm guessing your attempt to book online ADRs at 180+10 days was not successful? Looks like it still wasn't working for Debby7.

Anyone else try doing this recently?

I changed one of the notes on the front page about the iOS App (I assume this also applies to the Android app) after I noticed that the Fantasmic time that I added to my intinerary using my iPhone is now appearing on the "My Plans" section of the website. Not sure when this happened - I just noticed it. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Here's how it reads now...
Note:You may add things to your schedule that can't be added using the webpage, such as fireworks, parades, and shows. A small disclaimer says "This is not a reservation" so this doesn't seem to be a FP+ thing. It simply displays that event on your daily schedule. Once added from the app, they appear on your website MDE main page under the "My Plans" summary, but do not seem to appear on the detailed "My Itinerary" pages for each day.

I also did a little housekeeping on the Newest Updates section at the top of the front page. Here's what I removed...

  • As of 1/30/2013, the Android app has been updated to version 1.1.1. What's new: "Additional fixes and performance improvements." But still missing some of the features that are already in the iOS version.
  • As of 1/20/2013, an unconfirmed report on another thread claims that some guests are now being offered to participate in MyMagic+ at the check-in desk.

Nope, I could only do the first day of my trip online and had to call to have everything else booked. I really wish they would fix that, because the hold time was long.

As of last night the iOS app has been updated to version 1.3.2 to match android. I don't see any visible differences from ver 1.3.1.

What's New in Version 1.3.2

Interesting that the Amazon store for android apps is still showing version 1.1.1.

I don't know if this has been mentioned on here, but the newest update for the iphone and ipad (either yesterday or the day before) now lists "FastPass+ Experience" under "Reservations". The "FastPass+ Experience" link is not working yet, as nothing happens when you click it. But, it's another step closer to the roll out I think. There is another thread about this if you want more info. Also, this new development does NOT show up on the website, which is weird.

Is this what you're talking about...? If you go to More and tap My Reservations, then go to View Upcoming, you will see your Resort Reservations followed by your Dining Reservations. Then down at the bottom it says "FastPass+ Experience" (with no action when you tap on it).

It took me a while to find what you were talking about. Good catch! Although I can't say for sure that wasn't there in version 1.3.1, because I don't think I ever tapped on that "View Upcoming" link.

Is this in the Android version?
