Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

Well, apparently my login problem earlier this week resulted in my linked reservation disappearing from my profile. Had to relink it through the web site...but it also let me link in two later reservations that it wouldn't let me do before.

I can't link the dining reservation my wife made, because she did it online under her account. I'll need to figure out the pitfalls of linking our accounts now :)

After I linked the reservations, I see them in the updated app.

I've linked my account with my wife's so she can see and make arangements for the family profiles I created. The only problem is, if she does make an ADR, only she can change it. I can only see it.

I think as a rule, we're going to do everything with only one account. That way, when it comes time to make changes on the fly in the park, we don't have to first figure out who made the reservation and fumble around with multiple accounts.

All,

I didn't realize this thread existed or I'd have posted here directly...some folks have had trouble finding the links to your resort and restaurant reservations on the MDE app, and I've posted some screenshots from the Android version to help out.

Hope the Disney folks are paying attention here...they need some refinements on MDE, including making reservations the FIRST thing to show up. Shouldn't be this hard to find IMHO.

The post is here: Android app screenshots.

I'm just hoping Disney intends the app to function that way. Surely they're not going to expect *each* member of a party to have their *own* copy of the app to reserve their *own* FP+ (for example).

For FastPass+, one person would be able to schedule return times for their travel party. Check out the "Disney FastPass+" section of the Disney Park Experience Terms & Conditions:

I'm having huge issues with online check in on the website... I'm less than 10 Days out and the DVC member page links to Online check in send you to the wrong place.... The link directly from the MDE website, keeps having stack overflow errors when I attempt to enter my CC information... It hangs at that point and goes no further...

Frustrating...

Log off of all Disney sites and go directly to the follow site and manually enter your reservation information: MyDisneyReservation.com

I have been trying to make my dining reservations on MDE. The 180 + is not working but my first two days went smoothly and the reservations showed up on the MDE. Today I kept getting an error message and unable to search for tables at this time, so I called DVC member services to make the dining reservations I would be able to make today and tomorrow. The cm said that the reservations should automatically show up on MDE, but they are not. Should I try to link them manually or wait to see if they show up in a day or so?

I had also made a dining reservation and it never sent the email confirmation... However, it did show up when I signed onto MDE... Then, after this week's glitch, all my reservations vanished... Now, I have not been able to find/reinstate the dining ressie I had made... So, I simply made another one... Stinks that this is the $1 Billion spent at work for this My Magic + work...

I would call. It is entirely possible you now have two reservations, and if you don't show up for one of them, you could get charged.

Just because the system isn't linking them doesn't mean they don't exist...the web site is extremely buggy right now.

Given some of the reports emerging re the various MDE apps and site, I wonder if it might be apropos for a sticky thread (at least for a time) cautioning folks to be very careful managing elements of existing reservations through the apps. Not everyone will frequent these forums, but might well just hear about the apps, download them, and not be entirely aware the things are all still relatively very "green"

Might be worthwhile to help spread the word, not to be alarmist, but for people to recognize these apps are very new, kinks are being worked out, and if there's any doubt about any kind of reservation, call one of the direct WDW numbers to be sure everything is as it is supposed to be.

Tried to link the missing dining reservations and I get the warning that the reservation and phone number do not match and thus cannot be linked. Is this a DVC thing or another glitch in the program?

I'm certain I have 2 reservations, both for just about the same time (which the online reservation system supposedly does not allow). The reservation I made is not at a place where they would charge... But still taking a reservation away from someone else bothers me so I'll call...

You could have used two different phone numbers for the ressies. I've done it where I've used my cell number on one and my home number for another and didn't realize it.

When I tried to find the ADR my wife made, it couldn't find it until I tried her mobile number. Not sure if she entered that specifically, or it's in her profile, or what yet.

I tried both my cell and my home phone , both said the number and reservation number did not match. The FAQ page said that it can take 24 hours for the reservation to show up, so with fingers crossed I will try again tomorrow.

Call Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) and have them check to see if the phone number attached to the reservation is correct (or even entered).

Got the Android app updated and all of the reservations (room and dining) I had already added through the website are actually on the app as well. I found them under the "More" area then "My Reservations" and they are also under "My Plans" when you go to the date we are arriving. It also has the events my boyfriend added me to goofing off on his account on his ipad. At least the website and all the apps seem to be "speaking" to each other now so yay for that!

Seems pretty slow though so a little worried how it will be in the parks...

Yay! It's working for me too! I was even able to add a reservation for a TS restaurant, although not a buffet.
