Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

And her resort reservation got assigned to the friend account I made for her on my profile. She can't add it to her own account. Now she can only see it if she friends herself on my profile. :confused:

That probably sounds confusing, but then it took me awhile to figure out what had happened. I just don't understand why. :confused3

You should be able to click the "Invite" button for the version of her that you created. Then just send an invite to the email address you know she uses for her account. She will accept, and viola, everything from YOUR version of her should be transferred to the REAL version of her, and YOUR version will disappear.

They should really explain this stuff better since the system is so complex to begin with!
 
I'm going to try to keep an updated summary of capabilities, issues, problems, annoyances, tips, and unknowns on the first post of this thread. I'm eventually going to try to break it down by Webite, IOS App, and Android App (at least until it seems that the two app versions are consistent).

It's still very much in the building phase. If you think there is something I need to include there, please review that post over the next couple days as I add more to it. I'm pretty good at taking suggestions... I think.

This will be extremely helpful. Thank you.
 
Well here's what I know! I had the new site for maybe a total of 20 minutes about 4-5 days ago. Was able to access our two upcoming DVC stays and even do the little profile pic icons for DH, me and DD.

Since then I cannot access it at all, I keep getting the old WDW site with no My Disney Experience tab.

This is on two PCs, an iMac, and an iPad with Safari, IE9 and Chrome browsers.

However, the app on my iPhone 4 seems to be okay, I can see our reservations.

I wish the App would give you a countdown like on the My Disney Experience link on the website.

No problem! Unfortunately I can't answer your ME question since we haven't booked our flight yet. Good luck though, but maybe someone else knows.
 
This is nuts!!!!! :badpc:
yesterday it was showing the old web site.... which was actually a relief! At least it shows they are working on all these issues.
Today..... new page.... tried to log on using my member name and it keeps giving me error messages!!:badpc:
I had to go back and use my email..... which I haven't used that to log on in years!!!!
At least my reservations are still there....
haven't check my phone app yet..... here goes......

On the iOS app, there's a feedback button in the About screen which you'll find under More.

On the website, I think you have to go to Contact Us in the Help section at bottom of every page.

Has anyone in Canada been able to access the new website and/or the My Disney Experience functionality yet?

I'm in Vancouver, with 36 days until our trip to WDW, and still get the old website and have no way to access My Disney for online check-in or other features.

Curious if anyone else has found a workaround...

I think I might be the only person on Earth that still can't get their reservation to link. :sad1: They keep telling me to wait a day or two and it will show up. It's been around 3 weeks of waiting "a day or two" and still nothing. :mad:

I broke down and called the "help desk".
I was actually surprised that they answered within 1 minute! :thumbsup2 (I really didn't expect to talk with anyone... :) )
Seems as though they've been fielding calls on the MY Disney Experience for a couple weeks now......
she did confirm they are working on the web site first, then will be working on the phone app. She said it may take a week or two. But politely asked for patience.

Just got off the phone with the Disney web help desk; they said that the new My Disney Experience site is only available to US residents right now.

Appreciated getting an answer (so I know it's not just me) but sad that I won't be able to take advantage of online check-in or the other features of the My Disney Experience; can't help but feel that I'm 'missing out'...

I don't think you can link anything to the phone app until you arrive at the resort.The RFID bracelet will allow you to make fastpass reservations and dining reservations.

I have linked all my reservations to My Disney Experience and also have done the online checkin...45 days away.

I can pull up my room reservation and dining reservation from my iphone on MDE. You have to go to "more" and pull up reservations. I kept looking in myplans. My dining comes up also in myplans, but only after you open the actually day by touching the date which opens a full calendar and then touch the date of the dining ADR and it shows. Under more you can see everything.

I find navigation awkward at best. It just doesn't seem intuitive. Also the app seems to take a long time to load information and requires frequent sign ins. Hopefully they improve on these items because the app shouldn't be so difficult to use.

So FP+ is now available for resort guests? RFID Bracelets too? I thought I was staying up to date. Thought Disney was still in testing phase. Yippee, if FP+ available on trip.
