Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

So on the website I've been able to find the virtual ticket are and FP+ areas for my family only...

For some reason I can't view it on my profile.. Anyone else having same problems?

Same here.....

I'm doing my best at trying to find where to PAY for my trip on the new website. I'm at the 45 day point before my trip and can't find where to do this! :confused3 I've called Disney and been on hold for about 45 minutes and haven't even gotten to talk to a representative yet!! :confused3 This is crazy frustating! Anyone know how to navigate me to how to pay other than continuing to hold on the phone?

I also just purchased my flight today and need to add that to my itinerary so that I can use Disney's ME but can't find anyplace online to set that up either! Any suggestions?

After the long wait, I finally got a rep that took my payment and airline information. She said that payments can be made online in your reservations section, but I couldn't find it on my screen. And, that flight info must be called in at this time.

Me too, but Fwiw, i don't think their profile page is where you will schedule fast passes. Could you imagine having to go into each person's profile individually? I think it will probably be somewhere on the reservation page... But total conjecture on my part. The profile page setup with reservation and tickets etc listed at the bottom seems like a summary

After I entered my dining and room reservation manually, I can pull them up on my iphone. I kept trying to find my room reservation on "my plans", but someone posted you have to go to "more" and choose reservations there. Once I did that, my resort reservation came up there. Like others, I can see profiles for my friends and FP option, but not myself. We leave in 7 days, so will see how the new app works while there. They are obviously working on the new website because yesterday I finally got in (on computer) to check availability for rooms with passholder discount. Up until yesterday it kept telling me I needed a valid pass, but my profile showed I had one.

It is kind of irrelevant at the moment, since you can't do anything anyways.

Once there is a reason to have it, I'm sure it will show up. Probably on the linked reservations.

On my Android phone there is no "my plans" section even on the app. I have a couple dining reservations linked online. But it won't pull up my DVC reservations. We leave in 17 days and I'd like to use this app. Very frustrating!

The Android app has yet to receive the last few updates that iOS has received.

Not sure what you are expecting the app to do for you though that it doesn't already do...the reservation stuff is more for future use with MyMagic+, which isn't likely to be ready when you go.

Just a suggestion: Don't add any friends to your profile until you have loaded all your reservations. Make sure you can see all your reservations and that they are assigned to you as the person who controls them before you start adding friends and family to your profile. Somehow my daughter got listed as being the primary on one of my dinner reservations so that it doesn't show up on my list. I don't have control of my reservation. And her resort reservation got assigned to the friend account I made for her on my profile. She can't add it to her own account. Now she can only see it if she friends herself on my profile.

That probably sounds confusing, but then it took me awhile to figure out what had happened. I just don't understand why. :confused3

I can't get the new website to load on my iPad2. It always defaults to the old website. I have deleted my cookies, my history, and deleted the page out of my bookmarks and still the old site. Any ideas?

Have you tried downloading the My Disney Experience app from the App Store? That is what I did for my iPad 2

Look under more and that is where you can add the resort under my reservations.

THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY MUCH!!!!
That is exactly where I see my ADRs and resort information.
Should I be able to see ME?
Thank you.

Interesting...I tried it in the web browser of my Android phone (both the stock browser and chrome), and got the new site, so it isn't that they've blocked mobile devices specifically...

Oh, by the way...it seemed to take some time for the changes to propagate through their systems, but after DVC MS removed the apostrophe from my name in the reservation yesterday, I was able to link my reservations today...

I did express my opinion to the help desk yesterday that they need to be able to deal with these things on their end :) Don't mess with an IT guy when your web sites don't do simple things... :)

I get the new site on my iPhone no problem. It is only the iPad that has the issue. :confused3 While I prefer the old site, I can't get dining reservations or online check in on the old site so I need the darn thing to work already. :badpc:

I'm going to try to keep an updated summary of capabilities, issues, problems, annoyances, tips, and unknowns on the first post of this thread. I'm eventually going to try to break it down by Webite, IOS App, and Android App (at least until it seems that the two app versions are consistent).

It's still very much in the building phase. If you think there is something I need to include there, please review that post over the next couple days as I add more to it. I'm pretty good at taking suggestions... I think.

Is it just me? I have a Droid Razar and really can't do much at all on the app. Anyone else having a similar/better experience with a Droid? Thanks!!

Was hoping to use it to keep track of my ADRs.

I use a notepad app. Probably comes up quicker. :)

I've also used a spreadsheet app to open a spreadsheet with various information, but it's a bit of a pain on my phone because I have to keep zooming/scrolling.

Yes, ideally all the info about our ADRs, etc. should be accessible in the one app. But given that people can't even keep their reservations showing up, I wouldn't bet it will work reliably in 17 days :)

Prior to this I've used the TripIt app. When you make an ADR, Disney sends you a confirmation e-mail. Simply forward that e-mail to TripIt, and it gets added to your itinerary. Works great!

For what it's worth, I've been using the "Mouse Memo" app on my iPhone for the past several years. You can add dining and entertainment reservations; record flight information, ground transportation, and hotels; and get info on all of the restaurants, including the allearsnet menus. Great app!! And, very simple to use!
