You did extremely well in a very stressful situation. I think I would have lost it, Jordan would have been seeing me give her the smackdown
. I'm kidding, or am I?
Great pictures, so sorry you had to put up with her.
Thanks! You are right!! That's what I try to focus on rather than her.Good for you for keeping your cool.........I can't stand running into people like that...ESPECIALLY in a place like Disney World! When I face a situation like that, I try to overlook it by thinking about all of the GOOD people that I've met at WDW. There are tons of friendly people in the parks........unfortunately, you get a rotten apple once in awhile!
The parade looked like fun and truly "once in a lifetime!" I'm glad you got to see Drew Brees and enjoy it with all of the Saints fans!![]()
I remember you telling us about THE WOMAN later that day !!! I hate it when people push in front of you!!! On our very first ever day at Disney !! We went to AK and stacked out a spot with a planter type bench and all sat there except for me going to Pizzafari for some breadsticks !! We chatted to a very nice CM for about 30 mins . He left for a few and this family came and stood in front of us ! My daughterr told them they couldn't stand or sit there as it was to close to the parade !! Of course they ignored her !! The nice CM came back and told them to move , they tried to say we should move and he told them "NO"We were fine and had been for the last 40 minutes !! They were not happy but had to move !!![]()
Good for you for not taking her head off. I mean REALLY-how obnocsious! Glad you enjoyed the parade!
UGH!!! Lucky Duck!!! We were so jealous when we heard that Drew was in the MK that day. We had JUST left a few weeks before. If only our trip was later
What a mean lady! We had a few of those spot stealers during our trip. I totally agree about not wanting to wait for the parades. When we are waiting, my husband always makes a comment like "at least it does not smell like pee here".
I love how Drew saw you guys and waved. How great is that. He is the best![]()
I always fear having a meltdown in WDW brought on by idiocy. Is it that hard to see that you had been there a long time and your stuff was already there. I'm so sorry this happened to you, Cherie! - what a downer!
The theory of everyone staying in their spot to reserve it still doesn't apply. One time we were waiting for a parade (I believe it was spectro) and everyone of us were sitting in our spots when some rude people came up and moved the blanket we were sitting on to sit down. We ended up scrunched together. Although that was the same parade where little kids were sitting behind us and I offered to let them sit in front of me so that they could see the parade too. Their parents were very happy, because they were able to enjoy the parade without having to worry about whether their kids could see or not.
I think we would get along well, your story reminds me of our MK parade last year, i think you were reading along but if not, here is the chapter of my incident.
The brazilian throwdown on main street.
but even with that incident it would be awesome to see him at his parade on main street...thanks for sharing it with us, and you also got some really good shots of him.
OMG!!!! I can't say I blame you. They are sooo disrespectful and yes they do do it on purpose and yes they do speak english!!!!!I actually got ran over by a few of them getting off of Expedition Everest this trip. After exiting the coaster, I was approaching where the photo monitors are and I was about a foot and a half from the rope in front of them when 3 girls came running (full run mind you) up behind me. One jumped right in front of me pushing me back and another smacked into me from the side nearly knocking me down. I yelled "HEY!!!" but of course got ZERO response. I will admit to saying something else but I can't say exactly what I said here on the Dis. Doesn't matter because they totally ignored me and I KNOW they heard me. They didn't even blink an eye much less turn to look at me. About 30 seconds later, the girl is on the other side of the ropes and the CM tells her to get back on the right side of the rope and she did the same thing. Didn't even bat an eyelash. Never budged and acted as if there was nobody there yelling at her....which is what he had to do because she was ignoring him. He even reached out to sort of usher her by her elbow (nicely, mind you) and she did that arm flip thing and still never looked at him. They are perfectly aware of how they are behaving. They KNOW they are wrong, otherwise they would have looked when people started talking to them. So irritating!!!
If more people just knocked them out instead off asking them maybe their English would improve !!!!
Evening Blue!!!
that is such a shame, its like they think they own the place while there and that we should bow dow to them and welcome them and how they act.
i welcome anyone to our country but please act respectifully and i will respect you. act with respect and you will get it back.
thats all im going to say before i get worked up.

another thing i forgot to ask, that tree with all the bumps on it, is that a real tree?
Hey... at least your rude woman had her shoes on!!
I could feel my own adrenaline pumping as I read about your incident. I'm so sorry that had to happen to you.
GREAT pictures of Drew!!![]()
Good afternoon Blue !!!
I understand putting off that installment because of the feelings associated with that stupid chick. I get that rush of emotions too when I remember something even if it was years ago. I'm glad it didn't ruin the parade for you, or rather, you didn't LET it ruin the parade. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
Can't believed I missed this update. My blood was boiling when I read about the woman. I won't say lady, cause that's the last thing she was.
Would a CM do anything in this situation?
