National emerald aisle

Thank you for the link, Dan Murphy, much appreciated. I tried to join online but when asked for my country I was only given the choice of USA or Canada!! The UK National website doesn't seem to have any mention of Emerald Aisle. Shame as it sounded like a really good 'perk' to have!

Did you try from the National website? www.nationalcar.com

Yes, as soon as you initially give your country as UK the Emerald Club option disappears, and if you keep the country as USA and get onto the Emerald Club page, when you try to join it asks you where you're from and only gives USA and Canada as choices!! Still, it was a nice thought. (Unless I'm doing it wrong!! Please tell me!)

In reading the information for EC on the site it says: Enroll in National Car Rental's Emerald Club for an annual fee of $50 (U.S.D.). On-line enrollment is only available to customer that reside in the U.S. or Canada with a valid U.S. or Canadian driver's license.

Perhaps you can join by writing or calling them.
Or, contact someone in England by calling a location near you.
There is a list under locations on the National Web site.

Thanks, Gail - I should have read things more thoroughly! I was hoping to get a free membership as suggested by 'Mouse savers' but looks like I'll need to relocate to the US first!!

Give it a try, they may accept the Turner Travel contract code in the UK. The most they can say is no. As to reading more thoroughly, we can all benefit from doing that. :) You are definitely not alone in that. :)

Has anyone used the turner travel code? I'm a little confused by what was said about the $50 not being charged. Does the turner code wave the fee?
thanks for any help

As was quoted on the mousesavers site, it will default to the payment, but, because you have the Turner contract code, the fee is waived.
