National/DC Discount/Unexpected trip

Took a trip down earlier in the year and had not intended to go back, therefore threw my DC card, etc. in the trash (since it expires at year's end). Family has now decided to go back down later this year. Can I still use the DC discount on my card rental? Intend to us Emerald Aisle. Do you have to should you DC card on the way out of the lot? I recall having to on some occasions and not having to on other occasions.

I would call DC and tell them you lost your card and see if they can send a replacement. National may ask for it and you would be stuck.

From what I recall, if you use a Disney Club discount when making your reservation, they will request the Disney Club card when you go to leave with the car...

I lost my Disney Club card and when I called the DC 800# they said they would send me a new one for $10 and it takes 3 weeks. I didn't get one. I think I'm going to extend my DC membership until Dec with the prorated rate, so they should send me a new one anyway. Just so you know!
