National Coupon Question re: car size

Ok, here's one for the National experts: We usually reserve an intermediate size through National EA....have never had a problem getting a minivan off the aisle when we arrive. I currently have a coupon for $25 off weekly rental...but its only good for an SUV or minivan. If I book a reservation online for an intermediate (so I can get EA), can I then apply the paper coupon when we check out of the garage at MCO??

Any assistance would be appreciated! TIA

A minivan? Wow, tell me how you do it. I've never seen a minivan waiting. When do you normally arrive?

But what if you get there and there is no minivan or suv on the EA, which is a distinct possibility? Then they may not let you use that coupon at all if you drive out with an Intermediate and the coupon is for a minivan/suv.

I would search for a $20 coupon that can be used for an Intermediate and then hope there's a minivan on the aisle.

I've never seen a minivan or suv on the aisle on any of my last 7 trips.

Olaf: We usually arrive late....around 11:00 PM, and so far have not had a problem getting a minivan (twice for a minivan, once for just an larger car).

beattyfamily: I know it's a chance we take that we may NOT get a larger vehicle. Maybe I've been lulled into a false sense of security with our luck in the past!

I guess a more general question to ask should have been: If I do not use a coupon code when I make my ressies online, am I able to present one at the kiosk and apply it to the ressie then??

No..not if you use Emerald Aisle, unless you want to be charged for a mini van.

You sure would have been in luck when we checked in on the 23rd. Not only was there a couple convertibles, several SUV's, some PT Cruisers, but we got a 7 passenger Caravan..and we had our choice, so we took the one with 1400 miles and all the dodads. Made it very eary to get around when two other couples joined us. Gas wasn't bad either. There was only two intermediates though.
