What kind of backup plan? If I make alternate reservations and don't show up for them, won't I get charged a no-show fee? I'm an Emerald Club member, so they have my cc number.

I second this question... what kind of "backup plan" can I have???

If you are trying to use a code you are not entitled to use, and you are asked for ID to prove your entitlement, you are going to face paying full rates for your rental. So backup would be a rate that is lower than full price but more than that 'great' rate you got with a coupon/code you aren't entitled to use.

There is no way I am using any code that I am not sure I am entitled to. I would rather pay more and be sure of the rate I was getting than to be hugely surprised at the counter with having to pay full rate.

The problem i have is that my rental costs $1500 w/o a code. If I use a code, I can get it for $326. However, I don't know if I'm authorized to use this code. If I use a code that I KNOW I am authorized to use, the cost of my rental is about $775.

My question is, If I make my reservation with the unknown code, then make a "back-up" reservation with one of the codes that I know I can use, what happens if I have no problem using the cheaper reservation? Won't I get charged a no-show fee for the second, more expensive reservation?
