I just reserved an intermediate car thru National for 9 days Nov.29-Dec 8th for $246.75 (including taxes and surcharges.) base rate $190.34
Try the vacationoutlet.com website. They have $15 off coupons for weekly rentals (intermediate-convertible cars ) and coupons for a free day if you rent for only 3 or 4 days over a weekend.
Print them on your computer and redeem at the counter.
This is the cheapest I could find.

While the coupon expires before I need it, (5/31/03) I bookmarked this web site for future use. Maybe there will be another coupon with a later expiration date. Thanks for the info!
