Why does anyone care if she was pregnant or engaged first?

Well, when you announce your engagement and pregnancy at the same time I think it makes people wonder

Wonder about what? Maybe she did find out she was pregnant & then they got engaged.. does it really matter?

Anyway, I'm happy for her. She seems very grounded compared to a lot of celebs out there.

I think it does to people who feel that their own personal beliefs and values should be imposed on everyone. Personally, I never had to seriously consider my own feelings on the matter, but what I do know is that such decisions are each person's own, with no legitimacy to second-guessing by outsiders.

No, it doesn't matter "which came first".

She's an adult, and has said she is very happy about the engagement and baby.

Congrats to her and her fiancee on the upcoming marriage and baby. I wish her nothing but the best.

I don't care at all which came first...I only said it because she started dating this guy during production of the movie...not that long ago and now they are marrying and prego at the same time....doesn't seem very planned...but then maybe it was

Good lord. She couldn't have been pregnant when she filmed that movie. She weighed about 12 lbs.

That's for darned sure! When I heard she was pregnant I was surprised that such an emaciated body could even get pregnant. Wow, she is so very thin in Black Swan. I really loved the movie tho'. I think she did a great job of capturing the tormented prima ballerina!!

Speaking of thin... reminds me of Christian Bale in 'The Machinist.' A super movie but again his weight loss was painful to watch. Really buffed up for Batman after that! But.... I digress. Congrats to Natalie!!!

Why do you care what *I* do, though? I understand if you think *you* should be married before having a baby, but I don't understand caring what others (outside of your family, I guess) do.

Her father is fertility specialist. Guess she got the family gift of baby magic.

I don't believe it! That's just crazy talk. Nobody would ever do such a thing. This Natalie Portman person needs to be taken to the town square so that she can be properly stoned, thereby restoring the sanctity of marriage.

p.s. - Congrats to the happy couple... on the baby... and the engagement. Well... unless the engagement happened after the baby. Oh, okay. Congrats either way.
