I've got 2 days left on my So Cal Resident ticket, and I picked next Friday, the 3rd for my next visit. Mostly because I have a ton of PTO, and also the weather should be in the 70s, and I hate the heat.
I'm no stranger to the parks on busy days, and I don't care too much about that. I'm also a casual semi-local and haven't really visited during 9/10+ days. If I go on some rides, cool. If not, cool. I think I have LL on my ticket. My main question is parking. I now realize this is the beginning of Easter weekend. I had no idea. I usually get to the parking lot by 11 or noon. Part of that is because L.A. traffic sucks any day of the week, and Friday will probably be bad. I've seen photos of long lines ot get into the parking structures and all the horror scenes of a busy day on Instagram. I'm used to parking in Toy Story as a former MK holder, since that was where the discount was.
Where should I aim to park? Mickey and Friends? Toy Story? Should I try to come earlier? Later? What is the best strategy for getting a parking spot without waiting 3 hours in line and without having to wake up at 4 or 5am? I've got an 80-mile or so journey along all the great L.A. freeways.
