NASA??

Kennedy Space Center is about an hour's drive from WDW and is well worth visiting these days. It requires the best part of a day to see all the attractions and films and do the Space Center tour. The new Astronaut Encounter is amazing and the Apollo/Saturn V rocket center on the bus tour is quite thrilling. I think the new admission charge is about $25 per adult (parking is free), which gets you into the Center, on the bus tour and in to see all 3 IMAX films, which are all very watchable. For a real sense of the past, present and future of space exploration, visit the KSC. Check them out on their web-site too here:

Blast Off!

When you visit their web-site check out the mission schedule to see if you would be able to fit in a shuttle launch. I wrote away to KSC about a month ago to get a free car pass to get on-site to view a shuttle launch scheduled for mid-November. It is on a first come first serve or rather mail basis. You can only get them by mail. I put the return address in my two boys' names and they received a post card back to tell them they would be getting their passes three weeks before the launch. I'm sure it will be a very exciting thing for them to see.
