MYW Dining SNACK?

I'm hoping you all can help me with this question. When they say icecream for a snack, do they mean only the Mickey bars, or can you get a fruit bar, frozen banana or other non icecream treat? My 5 yo DD has been diagnosed as lcatose intollerant and although she loves icecream, I don't want her to get a spastic colon at Disney World. That would not be a nice scene. Has anybody tried to get a frozen fruit bar, frozen coke or frozen banana? Thanks.

We were in Disney over Spring Break for a short 3 day trip. I never tried to get an ice cream, but here's my experience with the snack drinks. It depends who you ask.

It is supposed to be water or soda, but we really wanted the poweraid. I asked on CM and she told me no. I walked away and made my way to another cart and asked and he said fine. He rang it up without an issue.

Next day tried to get another one at the All-star Sports meal area...didn't work. (she was willing to try though)

My suggestions: call Disney and and ask them how you can use it? Offer a Dr.'s note. I say this because I think Disney needs to be aware that not everyone falls into a simple plan. They need to be willing to make some expections for medical reasons. (We had one also, having to pay for an adult to eat on the plan, but he had surgery and can't finish a child's meal. In time, we hope that with a Dr.'s note they will charge only a child's price)

Second suggestion: ask when you want one. I think it depends on the CM. I would offer that DD can't eat the milk product and see if they will subsititute it for you.

Good Luck.

I think the actual Disney word is that the snack includes any "ice cream novelty item"- I would take that to mean any pre-wrapped frozen treat from one of the carts. That would include ice pops, frozen fruit bars, Mickey bars, Mickey ice cream sandwiches, etc.

We used the MYW Dining plan in January and this is correct. Any wrapped frozen novelty from an ice cream cart.

Yes, you can get the other stuff on the +Dining Plan. On our trip in March, we got the Mickey :earboy2: Bars, Frozen Bananas  , the Orange and Strawberry bars, and Water. You can also get popcorn or soda.

Enjoy! We saved alot of money on the plan.
