From my 1994 Birnbaum's guide:
"This handsome hexagonally shaped establishment looks less like a fast food eatery than a moderately fancy sit-down restaurant.
That's partly because of the decor, a subtle amalgam of rusts and ochres, with a carpeted floor and walls and a profusion of green plants. It's also partly because the food serivce lines are tucked away from the main dining area.
The fact that tables are spread over several levels enhances the already pleasant ambience by making the whole place feel smaller than it reall is. There's never the feeling of having arrived in a cavernous mess hall.
As for the menu, it's absolutely all-American: burgers, hot dogs, plus platters of chicken, tuna and ambrosia salads. Freshly baked pies are a special treat.
There are character shows featured here four times each day."
The Odyssey restaurant closed in 1996.
