***MyMagic+ & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

I probably should read all 180 pages as I'm sure my questions have been asked, but I just don't have the time or patience to do that.

I'm going 10/2-10/13 and have a couple questions -

1. If I have the Magic Band and Fast Past+, does that mean I won't be able to get additional fast passes in the parks when I'm there? If so, not fun as I usually get 3-4 fast passes per day for the attractions I enjoy.

2. Has anyone figured out if you can reserve via FP+ more than one fast pass for the same attraction? As I travel solo a lot, I can do a lot of single rider lines, but would love to have all 3 of my Hollywood Studio's fast passes go to Tower of Terror.

If neither of these are available, it will definately deter my experience and not make it as magical.

Thanks!

No, you will get a KTTW card that can get regular FPs - at least as far as testing has been concerned so far.

No, you cannot get a FP+ for an attraction more than once in a single day.

Thanks for the quick response! I appreciate it.

This past Wednesday I had an interesting yet unsettling conversation with a Cast Member regarding the My Disney Experience app on tthe phone and future reservations.

If that whole story is true (as the details quoted by the CM mostly aren't) then I'd love the CM's bosses to pick on that particular conversation for monitoring guest service standards...

Apologies if this has been asked already, but can anyone tell me how likely it is that this system will be in full swing come January (as opposed to in the specific resort testing phase)?

TIA! :)

49.76%.

(No one knows, but end of this year has been mentioned as a goal.)

When CMs are able to link their main gates the guest cards will work kind of like a magic band. They will be used for park entry and fastpass+. However they don't want to link guest cards to resort reservations etc because they are the CMs property not the guests. If they were linked to magic bands CMs would have to collect the magic bands at the end of the day this making it where the guest wouldn't be able to get into their room etc. by keeping them separate the CM only has to worry about getting the cards back since most CMs don't stay in property.

Thanks for the info! :-)

No problem. Everything I said was as of right now. For all we know Disney could change their minds in the CM maingates and passes and change them again. I do know CMs will be getting personal Magicbands at some point but of course we've been hearing that for months.

Haha! Of course, I'm sure it will change many times. My CM friend is staying in the room with us so he got a MagicBand when we did, but he is not so thrilled about the whole system in general.

Anyway, thanks again! Your information was very helpful on a topic I couldn't find ANY info about.

You can't pre-book more than one FP+ for the same attraction, but I remember wharsarahsaid who tested the Bands in June was able to get a "day-of" FP+ for the same attraction as one that had been pre-booked (once the time of the first FP+ pre-booking of the day had been reached).

In other words. suppose you have a FP+ booked for Rock n Roller Coaster at 9:30 and then two later FP+s for Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror. Once your 9:30 FP+ time has passed (not sure if that's at 9:30 or 10:30?), you could then book a later FP+ for Tower of Terror (if available) -- thus, achieving two FP+s for the same attraction in a single day.

Has anyone else been able to do this in August or September?

(Not that it's all that important now that you can also get regular FPs, but once FP+ is the only option, this might be a good strategy for someone who would like to ride a particular ride multiple times.)

I believe delmar411 reported that you could no longer do this.

Maybe it's the former call center worker in me but that had me :rotfl:
And sadly, a glance at my facebook news feed convinces me it could easily be true...but the TV tells me it could be the new Preppers spin-off, so :confused3

I'll be happy to post to in another thread, do you suggest I post it on this board or another?

I'm sorry certain posters don't believe me but it happened. Trust me, I have better things to do with my time than make up Disney App stories and post them on the internet. Gosh, my mind couldn't even believe what he was telling me was possible.

It is highly interesting. I'd post it as a new thread on the same board.

I know you link your tickets to your reservation. But. We are using Military tickets, complimentary tickets and old tickets. So I know we will not be able to connect the military ticket to our reservation until we get there, because we will not have them until we arrive. I do have the other tickets in my hands, so would I be able to connect them? But then I would be the only one that could get FP plus, right? The one using the military ticket will not be able to. Correct? I can see this working in the testing stage, but not sure how it is going to work when everyone can use it. What about spur of the moment guess?

What I did was pick whatever times they give us, then change the times. From there, you can pick whatever they have left, all times of the day.

I was finally able to do this today. I had been trying all week and it just said "There are no other times available" or if I tried to change the attraction completely it would say "There are no other attractions available during this time"

So frustrating, but I think I have everybody looked after now!

You link tickets to your MDX profile to start with, not your reservation. You can link several of them. There is a place to enter the ticket codes for old tickets. REALLY old (pre-MYW) tickets might not be linkable at all.

You can then dole out tickets to accounts you control or other linked friends to assign them.

If you are eligible to make FP+ selections, you can make them on behalf of a group, but only if they have a ticket associated with them, and haven't already used up the allocation based on the ticket(s) associated to them, AND it is within the window for that class of tickets (60 days only applies to MYW and AP at this point, no idea on comp tickets).

As for the military tickets, as far as I know you cannot link those in advance. You'd have to wait to get them, then register them, and then you can make FP+ selections.
