The magic number is 60 days indeed.... international shipping has not commenced and your bands will be at your resort when you check in..

I have been reading and rereading this thread for days and I am so confused!!!
We are staying at POFQ Oct 22-28. So far does not appear that POFQ is going to be part of the MB testing. My questions are:
1.) If I figure out a way to link my MNSSHP tickets (unsuccessful for me so far as I have printed tickets), will I be able to choose FP+ from 4-7pm for that day even though I'm not part of the MB testing?
2.) If yes, what will these FP+ be attached to? My KTTW?
3.) How did people know if they were selected to be part of the BOG lunch FP+? Did you receive an email, a message in MDE? I'm so hoping to be able to at least be part of this testing.
4.) We will be buying military Stars & Stripes passes from SOG when we arrive (not the military salute tickets). So if I am able to link these tickets to MDE, I can't do so until we arrive & purchase them (have to be purchased at SOG). Any thoughts on how this type of pass will play into this whole mess?

No. Only guests staying (or have stayed) at testing resorts seem to have any option to select FP+. It is not entirely dependent on MagicBands, but the two are testing together.

N/A. But in general, the FP+ are attached to your profile in the computer. The MagicBand and/or KTTW card are the key to the profile. Either would work.

3.) How did people know if they were selected to be part of the BOG lunch FP+? Did you receive an email, a message in MDE? I'm so hoping to be able to at least be part of this testing.

I think a LOT of the people using the separate web site to book the BOG FP+ were not "invited". However, it still seems dependent on some factors as to whether you can use it.

4.) We will be buying military Stars & Stripes passes from SOG when we arrive (not the military salute tickets). So if I am able to link these tickets to MDE, I can't do so until we arrive & purchase them (have to be purchased at SOG). Any thoughts on how this type of pass will play into this whole mess?

It basically means that you won't be able to book FP+ in advance, until you get the tickets and link them to your profile.

Has anyone been able to call or email and ask to be included in the fastpass + test?

I feel kind of left out, everyone with fastpass + is able to double dip, get into VIP viewing areas for nighttime shows that are pretty empty and schedule fastpass +.

I am staying at Coronado in October and can't really change my reservation to POR.

So has anyone been able to be included by asking?

You can not call or email and ask to be invited. If you are my staying at a participating resort they will extend an apology an remind you that you can still use legacy FP.

Room keys, assuming you're staying on site.

I am staying onsite, but I thought the whole point of the magic band was to do away with room keys?

Just during the testing phase people are being given both just in case there's a problem with the magic bands.

checking into POFQ on October 19th and really disappointed that we won't have a chance to try out FP+. We can only afford to go to WDW every 4-5 years; would have been pretty exciting for the kids.

Unless things go horribly wrong and they stop testing for a while, I'd say it's near 100% that you will get them. Poly begins testing today, and they have not "removed" resorts from testing once the main testing has begun. This is more like a rollout than a test.

(The short test at BLT was more preliminary testing with DVC guests, and hasn't resumed yet)

You can change FastPass+ selections at any time...even "on the fly" while at the park. That is my understanding at least.

Yes.

They are not stored on the bands. They are in the computer, associated with your profile.

Your band has nothing but an ID number. That number gets looked up in the computer to see what you are entitled to, etc.

If I pick everyone in my party but some won't go on that ride, can another in the party use that fast pass like in the old system? Or are the fastpasses only linked to the magic bands and assigned just to that person?

YIPPEE!! I am so excited to hear that! Now just to figure out how to get my ADR'S to show on MDE and keep an eye on the construction going on at the POLY - Only 172 Days to GO!!!

First of all, your 4yo doesn't have to wear the band, you can keep it. Secondly, if it gets lost, report it to guest relations or your resort and they'll deactivate it.

yes you can do it. Just give that person who is going to ride a 2nd time that other person who is not riding his/her magicbands. I did this with my son for rock n roller coaster.

Yes, but before I got very far it stated my original FP+ would be cancelled if I continued, so I stopped. My first choice was not available, so I wanted to see if any availability had come up so I could switch days, but it looks like this can't even be done

Regarding BOG lunch FP+
