As of right now it is the only way. I would suggest changing the other 2 FP+ to attractions you would do or even something like Fantasmic (although that will not show up in your selection list till later...speculation is at the 30 day or sooner mark for right now).

As for the other issue it may have been a glitch too. A lot of people are experiencing periodic issues with the MDE system. It seems like there are a lot more people using it now then in previous testing phases.

Problem was there is nothing else coming up I would do. I guess it just means that others wont be able to get that slot so maybe I should change it for a slot when Fantasmic would be on or something so its less likely to be busy.

just off the phone with IT

seems like it's confirmed that the maximum number of days you can have FP+ booked for is 14, no matter how many tickets (number of days) are linked to your MDE account, and no matter how long you stay at a resort (I stay for 24 nights, at 2 eligible resorts, with 22 days worth of tickets, and can only book 14 days of FP+, IT is still on it. The CM I had on the line told me that was the first time she had heard of a 21 days ticket)

also, so far they are not sure if the test will go beyond Nov 1st, so the attractions that can be booked for november are sort of a "glitch", we are not supposed to be able to book FP+ for november. That could explain why there are so few attractions we can book.

Hmmmmm, we have a 21 night holiday coming up and have too only been able to make 14 days of fastpass+ reservations, which is a real bug for me as we plan to be in Disney parks every day. There are a few days where we will be at waterparks and DTD or doing tours but there are still some I'd love to make fastpass+ for but currently can't. I'm a little disappointed long stay guests haven't been considered. Did tech say they would extend it??

Thanks - does this also mean FP+ testers are still able to get cards and potentially double dip, or have they officially announced cutting that off?

They haven't "officially" announced anything about it.

There are two different things:

FP+ testers can get FP+ with the MagicBands and regular FP with the KTTW cards. This was known (although some CMs gave conflicting info). This was called "double dipping" but is limit to them getting the three FP+.

The second one is that all KTTW cards work for getting Fastpasses - even if they are not your admission media, such as if you have an Annual Pass or a separate ticket. People with both can get two independent sets of Fastpasses by using the two cards. And it appears that even expired KTTW cards work in some cases, allowing "triple dipping" or worse.

This appears to be a side effect of them enabling KTTW cards to get Fastpasses for the testers, and may be a limitation of how the Fastpass system tracks issued Fastpasses to ticket IDs and is unable to track it to the MDX profile as it should. It's another factor that might indicate Fastpass is on the way out soon.

This appears to solve the "How many FP+ reservations an Annual Passholder can get?" question. :)

21 day tickets are typically limited to UK outlets.

She said they'll be looking into that matter, and that they'll get back to me through email (I declined the offer to call me on the phone due to the time difference between the US and Europe)

BUT, she also confirmed that, if the issue was not solved by the time I was on vacation, we would still be welcome to use the legacy FP system.
So we might not be able to use FP+ but we'll still able to use our KTTW cards (which will be issued as a backup to MBs)
This also means that we'll be able to double dip for the days we'll have FP+ (not saying I will, just saying it will be possible)

The only question that remains (and still is uncertain) is wether or not FP+ "disappear" from the MDE account as soon as the day is over.
If they do, this means that on day 2 or our stay, well be able to book day 15 for FP+, and so on, as long as we only have 14 days of FP+ listed on the MDE, and we will still be able to do our FP+ reservation 2 weeks out, so no big deal here.
If MDE has a "memory" so to speak, then we will need to use FP- for the days we don't have FP+ for.

So far, I'm betting that things will remain as they are. Meaning 14 days of FP+ no matter how long you stay onsite.
So I will prioritize FP+ for the days I don't do Rope Drop. For example those where I do a Waterpark in the morning, so I'm sure to get FPs for Soarin or TSMM (for example) even by going to the parks at 5pm, and I will use FP- on the days I do RD
(the 14 days of FP+ do not have to be contiguous, so you can do FP+ one day and FP- the next day.
Actually it might even work better for me, without double dipping, FP+ for late arrival in the park, and FP- for the RD days, it actually gives me the best of both worlds :)

Indeed.
They can't be purchased by a US resident (US or CA adress)

It does disappear after the day of use. AP holders can only book 7 days at a time. So when a day is used then I can book another day.

Thanks. That explains the lack of things showing for November!

I probably missed it but I hadn't heard of the 7 day limit on APs. I personally find that too restrictive for my travel patterns when I have one...

Has anyone been able to call or email and ask to be included in the fastpass + test?

I feel kind of left out, everyone with fastpass + is able to double dip, get into VIP viewing areas for nighttime shows that are pretty empty and schedule fastpass +.

I am staying at Coronado in October and can't really change my reservation to POR.

So has anyone been able to be included by asking?

I had read the 7 day limit as posted by the previous poster, but I think that only applies if you aren't staying on site. I currently am an AP holder, my trip is Oct 16-26 all in Disney hotels. Only my first night is at a test resort (akv jambo) the rest are at BWV. But I have fp+ booked for all 11 days. So I'm thinking that if you have an AP and are on site, it may be that the max of 14 days comes into play. Obviously I don't know for sure, but that is my guess.

Do call. Don't fret it. There are IT glitches only a talk with a nice CM can resolve. I had many, but one smart CM finally consulted the right people and found the nasty. There may be a need to hang up so they can call or email you with the results. Never mind my case details. Yours may be unique.

Thanks, I think I need to call anyway as there are a number of issues I can see which I would like to get checked before we go.

One is that my DH's magic band is against DD's name (she is named twice on the MB page) I have put DH's name on the band but want to make sure it is going to work for him.
Also he is not highlighted on the FP+ options, only my DD and my name, but not my main name, if you get what I mean?! ( I am named as lead person then underneath is everyone in the party and my name again which i can select for a FP but not my lead name) So again I want to make sure I have the FP reserved otherwise its just DD10!!
Oh and the park tickets are assigned to DD10 !

Do you know the number I should be calling, from the UK?

Thanks again

Hello... not sure if this has been discussed yet....

We'll be there in November. We'll be upgrading our 10 day hoppers to the DVC AP. Will there be issues with the FP+ options then? Will the rules change in any way due to the upgrade? We'd prefer to upgrade on the early side to take advantage of the various discounts available to AP holders.
Thanks for you input! :thumbsup2

There had been no change to how upgrades are done. The FP+ selections will stay with your profile.

Has anyone tried making BOG FP+ reservations for more than one day of their trip? We have BOG FP+ reservations for our first MK day, but we’re going back two more times to MK during our stay. Right now, when I log in to the FP+ reservation site, it takes me right to our BOG FP+ reservations. Once the FP+ reservation is used, do you think it will reset and allow another FP+ reservation for another day?:confused3

After your first BOG FP+ reservation, has anyone tried going back into the BOG FP+ reservation system and trying again for another day of your trip?

Dan

Anyone tried this yet? :confused3:confused3 Thanks in advance.

Dan

Just curious, do the park passes need to be linked to MDE, before I can get the invite to customize and order MB's. I got the resort reservations linked but still waiting for the tickets to arrive from UT. We are 65 days from arriving at the Pop.

You only need the tickets linked to select fp+. I had two people with tickets and two people without for a few days, and was able to customize all of our bands before the other tickets were linked. But if you're 65 days out, that's November, right? Not sure they've gone out that far yet.

I read the magic number to be 60 days. I can wait to select FP+ but it would be great if I could customize and order the MB's sooner. Also, mixed reports, any other Canadians here received their MB's prior to leaving or did you have to get them at the resort on arrival??

The magic number is 60 days indeed.... international shipping has not commenced and your bands will be at your resort when you check in..
