MyMagic+ executive gone, now Disney needs to remove certain fast passes

I hunted and hunted for an article about Iger's actual experience with the band and couldn't find one. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

A CM, who often posts on the Dining Board, confirmed Iger could not access his room at Contemp with his MagicBand. And, within a matter of less than a month, Franklin's two highest level assistants, both with over 20 years with Disney, left "to pursue other interests."

but shouldn't this be considered a good thing? Isn't the first step to recovery admitting you have a problem?
:drinking1

Orrrrr...... maybe Iger is an evil genius after all. He convinced Franklin to take his innovations to Universal. If he can get a MM+ like project on the books at US, they may never recover.
muuuuhhhahahahahaha

I remember reading an account of Iger's visit (I believe in MK) from a CM on the DIS who observed Iger getting the blue mickey head when he tried to use his FP+. I think it was in the Disney News section.

I recall hearing that info, too. I believe he had a Fp+ for Pirates or HM! ;)

Yeah, I'm sure the timing on that was just a coincidence. :rotfl:

Per request of some on this board, I have reformatted my letter to Executive Management of Disney Theme Parks (see below). I believe this should resolve any issues concerning tone. Thanks.

Dear Disney Theme Park Management et al.,

ALL of us here demand that Disney remove fast passes from attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Spaceship Earth. Side note, there are an unfortunate fringe few of posters excluded from this demand and they can be found in this linked thread, this especially includes TooExcitedCantSleep and AngiTN. Forgive them, they know not what they're doing. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=51526558#post51526558

There are absolutely zero logical reasons to have fast passes for Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Spaceship Earth. The employee(s) that suggested fast passes for these rides and subsequently the employee(s) that accepted this suggestion should be let go (I assume Nick Franklin and some of his former staff are examples of being let go due to failures within this realm). Primitive research has found that fast passes for these rides has caused great negative fallout. We here will absolutely no longer accept the fallout of these bad decisions. Within three months we fully expect fast pass removal from these types of rides.

Listening to insiders, I also expect a continued shakeup within Disney going as high as the CEO (retiring soon anyways and likely to move on and implement similar magic band technology within major league baseball). With the enormous backlash from a poorly managed mymagic+ to Universal becoming a true rival for marketshare, Disney executives are awake and highly concerned. Disney theme park management can continue the repair by removing fast passes from attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Spaceship Earth.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a speedy resolution.

After the first letter: We apologize for the fault in the MyMagic+. Those responsible have been sacked.

After the revision: We apologize again for the fault in the MyMagic+. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked have been sacked.

The directors of the firm hired to continue the MyMagic+ after the other people had been sacked, wish it to be known that they have just been sacked.

MyMagic+ has been completed in an entirely different style at great expense and at the last minute.

When I was a kid, I enjoyed throwing a small stick on an ant mound and watching those little fire ants swarm to protect their colony as though their lives depended on it.

This thread reminds me of my childhood.

I'm just hoping 999Doombuggies can soon put his letter writing campaign skills to something much more pressing and time sensitive --- stopping Disney from pre-mixing the Margaritas at La Cava!

Must Get Back to Hand Mixing....!!!
