Oh lucky! I wish I was a local. I would kill to be able to go there on a regular basis!

I will be down tomorrow afternoon with another Dis-er for the D23 expo. If you could attach a link to a thread with the meet locations and times I would appreciate it. I am wanting to go to a Starbucks meet depending on how early it is (I need coffee to wake up, but I enjoy my sleep...double edged sword!). I am looking forward to all the events this weekend. It should be a good expo!

Just show up really early and then tell him you need a cup of coffee from the Starbucks across from the convention center, tell him the coffee in the lobby isn't good enough! Premier and Sorcerers will probably be gone by 8AM becuase we get in early. D23 at 9AM and all others at 10AM. Took a while to figure that out!

I'm going to try to get there as close to 7AM as possible for coffee and then be in the CC by 8AM.

As I was all on top of it, the computer crashed....just got back up and will at least give some of it....

So we arrived at the Hilton

We are directly across the walkway from the Convention Center

Our room has a view of the Disneyland Resort

It's a modest room

And after receiving our bags, we headed over to the Expo for shopping since we were premeiere members. This was the line when only 250 people were allowed to shop.

We decided that we were hungry so we headed back to the food court and picked up these tacos from Baja Fresh.

I went up to the Premiere/Sorcerer's Lounge to get our guidebooks and got these shots of the lounge. I hope we make it back here sometime!

Once we got into the Dream Store we were taken with these rings.

I had already prepurchased this necklace and it was waiting for me!

We really liked this one, and only a real Disney geek would understand it's meaning.

Here are a few more shots of the Dream Store and then I need to go to bed. Much too tired. It was a fun DISmeet tonight and looking forward to meeting new friends in the morning!

I'm not sure how I would actually make it through life without living so close! It's just been a given for me for 30 years that I can go anytime I want. It's pretty sweet!

What's nice is most everything on the show floor seems to be laid out the same as last time, so I already feel like I know where I'm going.

The jewelery was. In fact remember that necklace I bought when you were here? It was designed by the woman who did the other designs. I bought some earrings from them at Destination-D55 and both she and I were wearing the Mickey Journey pendant. She commented on my good taste!

We're still debating on the rings. We have until Sunday.

Good job Usnuz and Firefly! Yeah, having Snow White juxtaposed into that portrait was a really cute twist! We are still on the fence with that one too, but it will be available in the parks for a while to come.

So after picking up my necklace we moseyed over to some of the pieces that were up for auction on Saturday night.

Not a big fan of the jungle cruise, so I'll pass on this one....

Definitely not a vinylmation fan, but someone will drool over this:

A car from Peter Pan might be a nice addition to the Living Room...I wonder if the cats would like sleeping in the car?

Here is a look toward the Parks and Resorts Pavilion (we weren't allowed in that area Thursday) definitely hitting it today.

So Back to the Hilton. Here are some shots of the lobby and the lounge where we had our DISmeet

First we headed to dinner at the restaurant in the hotel

We shared the onion soup for a starter. Yummy!

I had the "create your own pasta" Whole Wheat Penne with vegetables and tukey bolognese

Fran had the Mahi Mahi with a mushroom cream sauce and mashed potatoes

Then we headed out to the lounge for a meet! There were about a dozen of us there and by around 9:30 we all called it a night!

What a fun day so far! Now on to the real deal!

Your hotel looks nice. We like to stay in Hilton brand hotels (also Marriott). We find them to be clean, and comfy. Looks like everyone had a good time at your DIS meet! I am soooo jealous that you live so close! I am closer to WDW than Disneyland, and I still have to drive for a couple of days to make it down there!

Those art pieces are very nice too. I like the Alice one. No room in my house for any of those, but it is nice to dream!

You have a really great room view of (the back of) Cars Land. I like how you can see Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Matterhorn, Space Mountain, and Cars Land all at once - sort of past, present, and future view.

I'm surprised that I didn't see dozens of Disneyland Monorail sets in the Dream Store pictures - are they gone already?
