My tree is up! What about yours?

The "cat" on the middle right hand side is just a collection of lights, branches, and a ribbon winding under a large ornament. Lol i see it clearly now that it's pointed out!
:thumbsup2

Oh thank goodness I thought it was a Ghost of Christmas Shopping past or something coming to tell us we are all nuts on the Black Friday thread!:rotfl2:

I went back and noticed it to. It's just the way the lighting and the way branches the brancehs are shaped. If you look up and to the right of it, there's another face, kinda looks like a clown.

We won't be putting up a tree in our houset his year ..................

Cuz we'll be putting one up in our room at WDW!!!!! :woohoo::yay::banana:
why not
LOL, whew, I was afraid maybe your Christmas tree was being haunted by a cat in a beret. I'm glad it's just an optical illusion. :rotfl:

:rotfl:

Our tree & lights usually get put up before Thanksgiving, however they don't get turned on until that night. I put up a lot of lights so I like getting a jump on it and that way we get more bang for out buck. I am looking forward to the Christmas music which someone told me has started on a local station already (have not had the chance to confirm this) and on XM tomorrow. Love the holiday season and it goes by toooooooo fast.

We will be putting ours up soon, probably by next weekend. I love the whole getting the house ready for Christmas. We have a tradition of watching Christmas movies while we get the tree up, and it just helps put us all in the Christmas spirit! :santa:

I hope your surgery goes well! I had mine out back in 2001, and couldn't believe how much better I felt afterwards. I hope your recovery is as quick as mine, but do take it easy for awhile. A few days of rest can make a world of difference. Good luck!

We watched It's A Wonderful Life, Christmas with the Kranks, and Christmas Vacation while doing it! Today we're gonna watch the Santa CLause series!

No tree here yet, but I did the same thing in 2004. Had my gallbladder removed early in Dec and put my holiday decor up super early to enjoy.

Good luck with your surgery. Mine was a breeze and in fact less than 2 weeks after was walking around WDW!

Tree looks great!!

I had my gall bladder removed on Sept. 30th, and was at WDW less than 24 hours later. Obviously, I didn't schedule it that way by choice, but it worked out ok.

OP, your tree is beautiful and I hope your surgery goes smoothly and you have a speedy recovery!

Normally it goes up on the day after Thanksgiving. Last year I had a 4 foot tree which made me sad - it just wasn't a Christmas tree for me. I moved during the summer and had room for a larger tree. During the year I received some gift cards from JoAnn Fabrics, so I figured there's my new tree. So I was waiting for their first ad for Christmas trees and a week or so ago, ran out the first thing that Sunday morning to get my larger tree only to find that JoAnns only had pencil trees and 2 other trees that were way too big for my living room and way too expensive for me. I was really disappointed but managed to find a six foot tree with lights that ended up being just the best size for where it will go at another store. Then last week, I decided to look at it and took it out of the box. While it was smaller than I had anticipated, it definitely is the perfect size for where the spot. And the best part I don't have to climb any step stool or anything else to decorate it. That's the worst part of living alone.

And it is now standing in the spot, no decorations because I didn't want to wrestle it back into the box and take it out again in a few weeks! They'll go in Thanksgiving weekend- depending on what family activities are. :santa:

Not even thinking about a tree but many prayers for a successful surgery

Our tree(s) are up, they've been up for a week or so now, since it's our belief that it's bad luck to keep a christmas up (inside your home) after the new year, we put the tree up early because it comes down before the end of december.

I'll try to take some pictures and post later. Just wanted to say, I'm glad to see others are getting their trees up too.

We have started to decorate inside. If the weather cooperates we will do the outside next weekend.

We love the lights at night and the entire holiday season. We use LED lights, so electric costs are not a concern.

We're usually around the 15th....I'm hoping for Thanksgiving weekend -- so much house cleaning to do before then, though, to pull that off!

We put our tree up today. We have all been sick with nothing else to do. It did make the day go by faster.
We will be decorating at Disney too.

It always cracks me up when I watch movies where the whole family gathers for Christmas and then on Christmas Eve or Day they go out as a group and get a tree and decorate it - so they can enjoy it all of 12 hours or so??? :confused3:lmao: Do people actually do that?

We just got got back from Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party the night before last, and that's the first Christmas thing I've done this year. I bought 6 Christmas gifts in Disney World, so I guess Disney was my "Christmas kickoff" this year, but the tree won't go up till early Dec.

Nope not until day after Thanksgiving after I take a nap from black Friday shopping ;)

Best of luck with your surgery :goodvibes

Growing up my family put up the tree Christmas Eve and took it down on January 6th, the twelve days of Christmas.

Now my family puts the tree up Thanksgiving Afternoon. We are not big football people, so it fills in an otherwise long afternoon. Because we put it up so soon, it comes down New Year's Day.

Ours is up and I have 2 very excited children! They don't seem to connect the tree w/presents :) They love the ornaments and the lights. We also decorated the house.

Normally I wouldn't do it this early, but it is horribly cold and rainy (and windy) here, it made for a very fun day!!!

Ours is going up this week, Grandma is going to come over and help me with the trees and lights. Then with the kids we will put up the ornaments. And we have the Christmas cards almost done.

We have a Nov. 30 birthday (he will be twelve this year:eek:) so we always do 1) thanksgiving 2) kid birthday party 3) Christmas decorations. Keeps everything nice and orderly in my mind. (We have a Jan 12 birthday also, so we have a good reason to get all the decoration down too!)
