I can't believe I'm starting this thread again.:headache:
I wrote one similar to it a few years ago. I was just sitting here and the tree fell over.

Anyone else this year?

Off to mull the wine so we can re-decorate it.:santa:

Ugh. I was sitting on the couch reading and mine started to fall over too!!

I yelped and made my kids hold it up while I TIED IT TO THE WALL!!!

Sorry about your tree :(

our started to lean real bad last week. I was able to fix it before it toppled over!!

It fell over or you staggered into it:rolleyes1:drinking:

That's what they make fishing line for.. LOL.. Tie it off and no more worries..:santa:

Hope it didn't break any of your ornaments..

Ours fell when it was about half done this year! We had taken a dinner break and saw it go from the other room. (I'm not really sure whether there was a kitty involved or not; they both loooooked innocent.) Anyway, it is now wired to the wall.

We lost one ornament. Five had to have parts that snapped off glued back on, but only the one shattered.

It broke several ornaments. I'll be gluing some of the Disney ones back together, but most that broke were just the glass orb ones. And the tree topper. I think we'll not buy a new one.

And no, I didn't stagger into it.:rotfl:

I can't tie it on to the wall because it's in a corner of windows. There's a book stuck under the stand now, propping it up.

Oh no!!!!!!:eek::eek:

Not sure what you mean by it's "in a corner of windows", but what we have done in the past (as well as DD - whose tree is in front of her picture window), is to screw eye hooks into the edges of the window frames (not the part of the woodwork you can "see" when you're standing in front of the windows).. Would that work for you?:santa:

No, but I appreciate the suggestion. Our house has Plantation Shutters, so I don't want to hook anything into it. The tree seems stable now, of course it's seemed stable for the last 2 weeks, so...:confused3:rotfl:

My cats used to knock over our tree EVERY night, so we can't have one anymore! :headache::rolleyes1 I feel your pain!

It happened two weeks ago. :headache:

I'm sitting on the couch, chilling with my laptop with my headphones on when all of a sudden I feel something attack me from behind. I scream bloody frickin murder and whack whatever's behind me with my elbow. I learned that trick on Desperate Housewives the previous day, so I whacked with my elbow from down and up. Even got to punching it with my hand and busted a knuckle.

So of course, everyone comes running out asking what happened. I'm still screaming and hitting, and then it dawned on me that I was attacking a Christmas tree. I'm pretty sure my heart stopped at one point. I was in pure fear and that tree still scares me. :sad2:

Uh huh! After your DH had to rest a U-Haul to get home from the liquor store. ;)

:rotfl:

I don't mean to laugh, but that is hilarious.:lmao::lmao:

Laugh all you want at me. I'm the clumsiest person alive so I'm used to getting laughs, but I don't care, I like to make people laugh! Don't get me wrong though, this was NOT on purpose! :lmao:

Mine fell over too. We put it in the corner next to the fireplace and when dh put it up this year I told him it was too close to the one wall. I also noticed that the trunk was not cut level when we picked up the tree and mentioned that, but does dh listen to me
Anyway, I was trying to sneak a present between the tree and the wall and over it fell. I was by myself so I didn't exactly get it up straight. Dh came home from work commented on how crooked the tree was, that was the beginning of the week. Its still in the corner all crooked :rolleyes1

BTW, is that a piece of poop wearing a santa hat in your sig:rotfl:

I always put Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo in my sig during this time of year.
Where have you been?:confused3

Aww.. I'm sorry. My dog knocked mine over about two weeks ago. Could be worse though.. I know someone who's dog keeps whizzing on her tree!
