My tree fell over!

After several years of dh's picking crooked trees, bad dogs, evil kittens, terrible tree stands and disastrous falls I now have no nice Christmas balls. We have multiple boxes of cheap multi colored glass balls picked up when the tree fell and we had to redecorate. One year the puppy and cat drug all of the lights off of the tree. They chewed holes in the cords but did not get electrocuted. They stripped it. You either laugh or cry. I do miss all of my nice balls though. I now have a wonderful stand and a dh who pro-actively ties the tree. So I guess a little at a time I'll start buying some nice balls again.

I had a 9 foot tree, all decorated, that fell over in the middle of the night. Water spilled and ornaments broken.

Ended up securing the tree to the wall with fishing wire.
