My Son Loves Halloween...5/5 3 updates! Main Street, castle, statue photos

I'm with your son, I just LOVE Halloween. You guys have great costumes. Can't wait until you update again!

Welcome!!!

Thanks on the costumes! They were fun to make!

Not as much Halloween on day 2, but lots more on day 3!

Saturday 9/27
Plan for the day: Sleep LATE, Maybe DTD and/or pool, 2pm ADR for lunch at Chef Mickey’s, choose a park after lunch. We’re going to wear the Chef Mickey shirts that Jacob designed!!!

The plan was to sleep late. But instead I woke up around 6:30am, I was exhausted, but I just couldn’t quite fall back asleep. Jacob woke up around 7:15 and I told him to take his shower first. Then I started getting organized a bit, unpacking, getting our stuff for the day together. When it was my turn for the shower, I kept hearing knocking. I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. When I finished, and came out of the bathroom, I realized it was knocking on our door. I wondered why Jacob hadn’t answered it???

Then I realized Jacob wasn’t in the room. :scared1:

He was decorating the window, and left the room to look at his masterpiece and locked himself out.

We finished getting ready and headed out. Here’s a pic of our window.
Jacob added our new pirate Mickey, plus all the friends that had been in his backpack. He hung up his new lights too.

We headed down to Everything Pop for the first time.
I took some pictures along the way:
I took a lot of photos of this Mickey phone over the weekend.

pop203.jpg

We arrived at the food court just after 9am. It was packed!
Jacob got a pop waffle, a Danish, and hot chocolate.
Jacob wanted to take pictures of all his food, but sometimes he forgot. He was starving!!!
pop207br.jpg

I ended up with Oatmeal and a Croissant. I really liked the oatmeal. They give you a little container of cinnamon which I added. They also give you raisins, which I am allergic to so I skipped those.
pop206br.jpg

Cute characters on the cup!
pop205br.jpg

I saw these while I was waiting in line at the register. Pumpkin rice krispy treats.
pop204br.jpg

Since it was a low key day we headed to the pop 50’s section to check that out. Jacob really wanted to see the pool over there.

He loved all the circles, he calls them “Not so Hidden Hidden Mickey’s”.

Jacob said “Gotta have a palm tree picture!”

I hung out on the bench until after the bus arrived.
Someone walked by and I overheard them say “We’ll be just like Stacy”.
That made me laugh.

Jack was really excited when the bus arrived!!!

Jacob is still looking a bit green in places. :crazy2:

We made it to Downtown Disney around 10:30am!!!!

Next time: Days of Christmas scavenger hunt

Jacob did a great job on the window! I love all the decorations. :)

:cheer2: An Update! Too funny that Jacob locked himself out and you didn't realize what the knocking was.

Love all the pics of Pop! Really must stay there one day.

Oh, and somehow I missed your post with the video of the Boo Parade. I had to laugh, you were sitting in almost the same spot as we were for the first one. Love the video, I'll have to do more video next time.

Thanks! It was fun to come back to the room and see.

Yay an update! I love the Pop pics....that's where we are staying in June.

We had a good time there. Lots of colorful decorations! Easy to get around. Jacob would have liked to be in the 50s section, but we did not make a request and had only paid for a non preffered room. He really liked the bowling ball pool.

He was a little upset that I hadn't missed him yet, but really I walked in the room, and just kind of put it all together at once.

Too funny about the parade spot! I think we were just circling through the same spots at different times.

We headed into DTD.

Jacob took some photos:

dtd04.jpg

They were playing “Be Our Guest” in French over the speakers.

There were lots of Halloween window decorations in Goofy’s Candy Co & Days of Christmas:

dtd06.jpg

As we sorted the photos for this post Jacob and I both said “We should have bought one of those” at the same time.
dtd07.jpg

We passed the Rainforest café.
dtd08.jpg

We’d never been in “Days of Christmas.” before, so we decided to head in.
dtd09.jpg

We saw these cute little pumpkins.
cmas18.jpg

And lots of great Christmas stuff.
I loved this Minnie tree topper. I took a photo to show Hannah.
cmas03.jpg

I saw this painting on the wall and I loved it.
cmas02.jpg

How cute is that.
cmas01.jpg

I wandered over to the plush friends.
Stitch looked so cute and bright and cheerful.
cmas04.jpg

I really thought about getting a snowman Mickey. If he were smaller, I think I would have.
cmas06.jpg

Jacob wanted me to buy him a ghost Mickey antenna topper. He was cold and he decided to sit outside while I looked around some more. He was really bored outside, so he took some random photos of --- his shadow and his sneaker.

The castle.
cmas07.jpg

I wandered all the way to the back of the store. As I turned around to head to the front, I noticed this sign. I snapped the pic and decided to look for the rest of the days. A man standing in the corner waiting around saw me take the picture and left his spot to see what I had taken a picture of. That made me laugh. I wonder what he thought.
cmas08.jpg

I walked around the store several times looking for all the signs and taking photos of them. At one point a woman stopped me and asked where I found the Chef Mickey shirt with Minnie Mouse on it??? I proudly told her my son made it for me! She told me to tell him what a great job he did.

Jacob was outside looking bored.

I found all but 3 of the days – days 2, 4, and 6. I got in line to buy Jacob’s ghost. Number 6 was behind the counter, and very very large. Not sure how I missed that for so long. Jacob came in to see why I was taking so long, he added a little goofy keychain to his purchase. He collects keychains. I sent him to look for the missing days. No luck then, but Jacob did end up finding them a few hours later as we were heading to the bus stop. They were outside!!!
Guess we passed them on our way in.

I'll put the days in the next post, since all of this will be over my pic limit.

So here our the twelve days of Christmas – Disney version---

Great updates!

I love all the Christmas Shoppes! So cute!

Jacob's window art was really impressive - he put a lot of effort into it! Just tell him to remember to snib the door first before he goes outside!

Aww, the 12 days of Christmas is so cute! You gotta love all those Disney touches. :thumbsup2

Great pictures! I'm glad you got to go into the Christmas Store. I've gotten pictures of some of the numbers, but not all. That was a cute idea.

Many times I have said, "I should have bought that," when looking back through my pictures.

Many times.

How many showers did it take to completely un-green Jacob?

Thanks!
I will tell him that. I've never heard that expression but I love the way it sounds!
We bought lanyards with key holders, that will be in the next post.
I did remind him the next day to take his key with him!!!!

Yeah, The touches really make a difference. I love noticing little things like that!

The Christmas shop is so fun! I could spend a lot of $ in there!

It is! I could have spent a lot, but I behaved this trip. Not by choice though.

It was a fun store. I had to search for some of them. They are all over the place. And Days 2 and 4 our outside.

Jacob's coloring seemed off for a few days.
Even after a swim in the pool!
He had to really scrub to get it off that first night.

I started your report because we are taking our first family trip to WDW this Sept. I am so excited. I love all the pictures.

Thanks! and Welcome!
September was a great time to go!
We loved seeing the fall decorations.
You must be so excited to be planning your first family trip!

After I finally finished in the Christmas shop, we headed over to one of our favorite stores…

World of Disney.

We pressed some pennies while we were here!

We tend to buy more stuff here, because of the 10% discount with the Disney Visa.

Hannah had bought a Dumbo charm and a Marie (Aristocats) charm on our last trip.
I bought her a pink bracelet for the charms, and a couple more charms: Ariel and Pluto.

We also got her a Pluto keychain, and Tinkerbell birthstone earrings, and a HM Jibbitz for her crocs.
svr01.jpg

Since Jacob had locked himself out this morning, and the night before I had thrown my KTTWK in my backpack and stuck it in the locker, I thought we should get some lanyards, with a pouch for our cards. I loved having everything in one place. We kept photopass cards and Fastpasses in there too! I was sad to stop wearing my lanyard after the trip.

Jacob chose an Olympic themed lanyard. He loved watching the Olympics over the summer. I actually tried to talk him out of it, because I thought it would get heavy with the medal on it, but he really wanted that one. And he never did complain about it. He bought a pirates pouch to clip on to it and hold his cards.
svr04.jpg

I chose a blue Mickey lanyard, my favorite color, and the pouch with the most clips and rings on it. I ended up taking the flashlight off my keyring and clipping it on my lanyard. I was taking a lot of night photos and having trouble seeing the knob to change settings on my camera.
svr06.jpg

Jacob also got a pair of sunglasses, a Haunted Mansion Mickey pin(no photo yet), some more keychains, and a castle Jibbitz.
svr05.jpg

(The Mickey ghost is from Days of Christmas.)

I got a new Minnie Mouse shirt, which I ended up wearing on our Epcot day! It’s one of my favorite shirts. It’s too cold to wear much now, but somedays under a heavy sweatshirt it works.
svr07.jpg

I also got a couple of pins. I had seen photos of the Mary Poppins pin and had really been wanting to get it. Mary/Minnie slides up and down! I grew up watching the Atlanta Braves with my family and just had to get that one too. We went to see their spring training games a couple of times a year when I was growing up (when they played in Palm Beach). We even went to see them in Atlanta once.
They are both on the big bulletin board in my kitchen. Though Hannah keeps admiring the Mary Poppins pin.
svr03.jpg

Jacob headed over to the lego store, while I went to pay for everything. I have terrible luck at the registers in this store. It always takes forever for me to check out. This was no exception. Jacob came back from the Lego store and I gave him some cash. I didn't know if he could charge to the room there. Then the cashier couldn’t figure out how to ring the charms and said I would have to pay for them in the room I got them in. :headache:

I enjoyed this display while waiting in line.
dtdk07.jpg

I finally met Jacob by the lego store, he bought a lego keychain.
This time he chose Indiana Jones. Last trip he bought a stormtrooper keychain.

One of my favorite cities. London! We got a lot of reflection in the window photos.

dtdk12.jpg

We sat down and sorted out all our stuff. Put the pouches on our lanyards and added some pins to them. We might have had a snack. Maybe Jacob remembers.

dtdk13.jpg

We checked out the pin store.
Jacob traded a pin.

Took some photos outside Once upon a Toy.
dtdk14.jpg

dtdk15.jpg

Then headed over to the bus stop….

Next up : Jacob took lots and lots of pictures, and I will let him post those with his own DTD comments

I wanted that Halloween shirt myself, but decided against it. Of course now, I want it.

Sorry to hear you had such a hard time purchasing your stuff. And I love World of Disney same as you, get the Disney Visa discount. They had a large sale at Christmas and it was great getting the sale price and then asking for the discount.

I keep my lanyard with the AP's and Visa Rewards card in my backpack ready to go at anytime. It does make it so much easier to have anything you need for WDW right there in that little pouch.

My Jacob loved the Lego store also.

I had never noticed the twelve days of Christmas, now I want to go check them out myself!

Good pictures. Jacob looks like he's having a great time!

Jill would love that Halloween shirt.

Hannah's bracelet is cute. I look forward to buying my little girls bracelets and all kind of cutesie things when they're older. Brooklynn loves the big plastic jewelry now. She thinks she is really stylin'!

Tell Jacob to show us all his pictures. Don't hold back! It's no secret, I love lots of pictures! :)
