My DS14 has Asperger's and he comes up with the most insightful comments! He's one of those "tell is like it is" kind of guys. Last night, he had us in stitches about our Christmas decorations.
Usually, we put tons of stuff in our front yard including 3 reindeer, a snowman family and a train plus we put net lights on a bush and icicles on the house. My sister once said that it looked like Christmas threw up in our front yard!
This year, my DH got hit with a layoff. We're trying to avoid the high December electric bill that we always get so we cut back. We have one snowman, a small tree with lights and net lights on a bush.
So last night, my son said, "Mommy, how come Christmas didn't throw up in our yard this year? It looks like it just had a little acid reflux. All we have is a divorced snowman and a few lights!" I almost had to pull the car over because I was laughing so hard!
