Mickey and Minnie look so cute in their Halloween costumes!!!! You're going to have so much fun! Makes me want to see it for myself even more! The picture with you guys in front of Cindarella's carriage gave me a flashback to my first trip when I was six years old watching a parade, I remember how awesome the carriage looked, I was in awe of the detail on everything. Ahhh memories

I honestly don't remember too much about the parade other than the song. It is so catchy and you can't get it out of your head.

I can't wait to go to MNSSHP either!!! It looks like it is going to be SO much fun! I was stalking the live report thread last night, and telling my DH about it and guess what he said? "Are we going to go to any of the Halloween-y things?" SERIOUSLY? Been planning this trip since January, and he still has no idea what we're doing!

Anyway, I can't wait to see the parade, the fireworks, and the characters, especially the villains and Mickey and Minnie in their costumes!

It is definitely going to be a blast. haha, that is so funny he didn't even know you were doing the party! I'm sure he'll love it though.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Only 40 days to go until our Halloween trip! I'm getting really excited. I talked to Emma the other day for a little bit (she spent one of her off-days visiting the parks and they ended up going to all of them in one day ) and she said how she's excited for us to come down. Ahhh it's going to be so much fun.

Anyway, Dad's been asking me if I've thought anymore about what I want to do each day so I'm going to start posting some possible daily plans for the couple of days we're there. So stay tuned for that...in the mean time I thought I'd share some pictures my sister posted on her facebook from her park travels. I know I've said this before but I am so looking forward to seeing all of the fall/Halloween decorations!

I actually went on YouTube and saw they had a ton of videos showing the MNSSHP and based on the videos I saw last year, they've changed some things, like the Villains show is totally different, the Boo-To-You parade is a bit different, it sounds like they made the audio clearer. You definitely should get more creative with costumes, I've seen some pretty cool costumes people make for this occasion, they go all out, so I recommend that

Last time we went we didn't see the Villains show so I wouldn't even notice any changes. The parade was cool. From the pictures I noticed they got a new sign for it. haha I'm still trying to decide what to do about costumes!

Happy Saturday everyone! A couple things to update on today!

First of all, yesterday we received some Disney mail. Yep, we got our Magical Express stuff! I've figured out that they seem to send it out around the 40-day mark so it's always a sign that the trip is coming up soon. I think we're at 34 days! Yippee!!

I also have some trip purchases to share. I think everyone knows I'm addicted to Vera Bradley, so of course I had to go and buy a new bag to take with me! I love the hipster so I went with one of those. The new winter colors came out the other day (it's hard to think about winter but it's definitely starting to cool down here...) and I chose the Rhythm & Blues pattern.

So pretty...I love it!

I know these have nothing to do with the trip but I also had to pick up some of these Christmas cards. The penguins are adorable.

Next up is a new pair of shoes. I've been meaning to get new shoes for a while and finally got some today at Kohl's.

And finally, Mom was out early this morning to pick up some t-shirts for the newly crowned NL Central Champions, the Milwaukee Brewers!!!

We are going to the game tonight-it would've been fun to see them clinch the division in person but hey, it's still going to be exciting.

I'll hopefully be back tomorrow to start posting the day-to-day plans. Have a good weekend!

I've been trying to go to the VB outlet in Lake Buena Vista but Sat and Sun are seriously horrible days to go. I've tried 3 times on the weekend and have never found a spot (or patience to wait for one). I'd really like a new VB for Xmas and one on sale is always good!!!

It was funny seeing people on TV with signs that said "Let's Go Cubs". It's still hard to believe they're in the playoffs!

I really want to do the "grand slam" of all 4 parks myself! When I talked to her she said it wasn't really planned-she and her roommate pretty much just went to Epcot at the end of the day so they could say they went to all 4 parks.

I love VB and have way too many of them. I can't help it though, they're so fun and the hipster is such a great bag for WDW because you don't have to carry it around.

33 days to go! It is hard to believe it's already the end of September and October starts next weekend (and other than it being our trip month, October 1st is a VERY special day ). So, it's time to start sharing some park plans! Normally when I share my plans I do it park by park rather than day by day. But, since this trip is going to be so short I feel like I need to have a better plan of attack to do what I want to. So let's start with departure day.

Plans for October 28, 2011

(thanks, Simple Disney Things!)

We will start off our morning by waking up early for our 7:50 am flight out of Milwaukee. It kind of stinks having to get up early but I've always sort of enjoyed it too. It's just the excitement of knowing you're going to Disney World!! The nice thing is that we live pretty close to the airport so it doesn't take that long to get there.

Assuming there are no major issues and our flight is on time, we should be arriving in Orlando by late morning. We will stop for our traditional Chick-Fil-A (thank goodness it's not going to be a Sunday when they're closed, LOL) before heading to the Disney Welcome Center to hop on one of these:

After enjoying the bus ride we will be welcomed "home" here:

At some point we will finally get to see my sister! Dad and I have mentioned going to the Animal Kingdom so maybe we'll meet her there.

Oh, and speaking of the Animal Kingdom, I'm sure everyone has heard now about the plans for an Avatar themed land which I am NOT very happy about. I guess I shouldn't judge since I don't really know anything about the movie but it just doesn't seem to fit at all. As some people have said it really seems like an attempt to counter the Wizarding World at Universal. Anyway...

I know it's not most people's first choice for which park to visit but I'm sure you all know how much my dad and I love it there. The one nice thing about visiting DAK late in the afternoon is that it seems to empty out after the parade so it'll be really easy to do the major attractions and maybe see some of the animals. I was just looking at the park hours and I thought it closed at 5:00 but it's actually 7:00. So that's a good thing. We'll definitely do a safari, Expedition Everest, and Dinosaur.

After visiting DAK, it's really going to depend on how we're feeling (remember we're going to have an early start to our morning!) as to what we do next. We could head over to Epcot to see what the Food and Wine Festival is like.

Or, we could just go back to Saratoga Springs and visit Downtown Disney for a while. We'll see!

I heard about the Avatar themed land at Animal Kingdom. I do think it's a counter to WWoHP, but I'm kind of excited about it. I think it's the answer to the mythical land that they originally planned. If you haven't seen the movie, I would suggest it. It's visually very pretty and if they execute it well, it may turn out to be cool.
