Here's a quick teaser update for Sarah's Easter 2012 trip (April 7-13).

Today marked the opening of the 7 month window for us to make reservations at other resorts for 7 days beginning April 6, 2012. My plan was to see if I could make a reservation from April 6-13 with the idea that I could drop April 6 later once we decide on dates for sure. My concern was that people booking for arrivals on April 6 (Good Friday) would take up a lot of the rooms for that weekend and the following week.

Anyway, I called right away at 8 AM CDT this morning and was able to book something at one of the other resorts. I will tell Sarah when she gets home from work this afternoon and I'll let her announce the details.

OK everyone, so if you didn't see my dad's little teaser post, today was the 7-month mark for our trip next April. Yesterday he had me rank all of the DVC resorts so he had it ready to go when he called this morning. As you know, my first 3 choices were the Boardwalk, Bay Lake Tower, and Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (I like to call it the official name, haha).

When I got home from school, I was really surprised to hear what he was able to book. I WILL get to check another Vacation Club resort off of my list. So now, which one is it going to be...the Boardwalk or Bay Lake Tower?





Any guesses?


















































OK, I'll tell you now. I am happy to say that we were able to switch our reservation from Saratoga Springs to...

Yes, the Boardwalk Villas!!!

There was nothing left with a Boardwalk or standard view but they did have something with a preferred view. While it would've been cool to have a Boardwalk view, I really honestly do not care because I finally get to stay at the Boardwalk! SOOOO EXCITED! Even Dad said that now he's excited. hehe Since the BWV was my first choice, Dad said he didn't even ask about the other resorts but I do have to admit I'm kind of curious (not that I would want to change anyway).

Easter at the Boardwalk...sounds pretty good to me! For those of you who have stayed there already, please feel free to share your stories or pictures.

The other good news is that Dad told me Emma got her vacation days approved for October (and also December when they go). Yay! I've also been reading some information about things to do at MNSSHP and will post an update on things I want to do there soon (after all, that's how this PTR started). So stay tuned for that!

I'm glad Sis got her vacation days approved, that was quick! I did the same thing as soon as I started and it's so easy to do online and see when it's submitted and approved I'm sure by Oct she will be ready to leave her apt for a few days and stay with you. I always loved with my parents came..and still do haha! I hope work is going well for her!

Where have you been reading about MNSSHP? I'm getting impatient, I can't wait for the first party to happen so we can start reading reports about it!

Congratulations on switching to the BoardWalk! It looks so much fun there and you are so close to places like EPCOT, with a boat to DHS and then you have the restaurants at the neighboring BoardWalk resorts like Beaches & Cream... Mmmmm...

So happy for you, I just love the boardwalk area. I have seen the DVC rooms, there is usually an open house, and I have done a walk through. I think you will just love it. So much to look forward to with two trips.
My suggestion for MNSSHP is to see some of the characters dressed in costume, wear costumes with your family. And don't wait in candy lines, as they disappear as the night goes on....... It goes without saying that you should not miss the parade or fireworks.

I don't think Emma will be staying with us. We're only going to have a studio and that's not really big enough for 4 adults. She probably would prefer her apartment to sharing a sleeper sofa with her sister.

Sarah, that's awesome that you got BWV! I'm jealous already! I've never stayed there, but it's on my list of places I want to try (ok, with every other Disney resort, but this one is closer to the top).

First, congrats to your sister for getting DHS! I hope she's a gangster in TGMR!

Second, for your spring break trip! And double for getting to stay at BWV! DH & I stayed there last year on our 1st wedding anniversary and it was fabulous! You are going to have a great time there especially with walking distance to DHS & Epcot!
