My new pin just came out. Covers just about all of 2011.

I was thrilled to see this PIN offer in my mail yesterday. I booked Monday with the new public code. Got 35% off our dream vacation: 5 nights YC Lagoon view club & 2 nights GF outer club. This new PIN is for 40%. I'll be calling later today & happy to save another 5%. That will be about another $200.

Just be careful everyone: even tho I knew the flyer that came in the mail was the PIN everyone hear had talked about, I still had a very hard time finding the actual PIN. There is no where on the flyer that says "be sure to mention NO.xxxxx xxxxx". All the info is on the inside of the flyer & the actual PIN NO. is above my name & address on the outside, high lighted in yellow. So if you aren't careful, you could miss the PIN & just throw it out as junk mail. Also, I got tit snail mail; no e mail.

I was so excited to see one of these cards in the mail yesterday but it did not cover July and the weird thing is that it had my sister-in-law's name on it - it actually had her maiden name and she has been married for 12 years and never lived at our house. Kind of annoying since it had our address but I am guessing I couldn't have used it with her name.

The pin offers 40% off both deluxe and deluxe villas and 35% off both moderate and value resorts.

For stays most nights:
2/27–3/5, 5/8–5/27, 5/31–6/4, 8/21–10/8, 10/23–10/29, 11/13–11/19, 11/27–12/3 and 12/11–12/24/11.

Can anyone hazard a guess why 10/30-11/12 may be excluded?
We are thinking of going one of those two weeks. I know one is Jersey week, but they did offer discounts to the general public during Jersey week 2010.
I am just hoping this is not an ominous sign that those two weeks may be excluded when/if fall discounts come out this summer.

No. Unlike free dining, the PIN is only good for the dates it's good for.

i am bummed that i didn't get this pin.

i did get a pin that was specifically for December though. it was only 30% off (i'd love to save another $200). i had been pricing vacations for December, so that's why i got it. and i am grateful that i received it. but...

i'd LOVE to get the 40% off though.

Oh, you can absolutely do that. You just can't extend your PIN to dates it doesn't cover.

Yes you can. You can use it for those two dates. You'll have to pay rack rate or use another discount for the rest. If you're staying at the same resort they can link the reservations so you can keep the same room. Just did so in December.

For anyone who didn't get a pin I have two suggestions for you.

1. When you call Disney to book a trip they won't tell you if there are discounts available for the time you are looking at, but if you ask them if there is a discount available then they will tell you. The catch is you have to specifically ask them the question. Unlike other travel agencies they won't spontaneously volunteer the information.

2. I booked through Kingdom Magic Vacations using travel agent Janis Smith. She has been great to work with and even though I didn't have a pin for the time I was traveling she was able to get me 40% of a room at the polynesian. The deal she booked for me has been better or the same as any other pins I have received. Originally I was going to stay at either a family suite at the all star or at the Port Orleans riverside because there are five of us. She was able to book the poly and even though it was a little more expensive than those two it brought the price down to a number we could afford. We have never stayed at a deluxe before and we are thrilled to be able too.

Wait a minute... I just got the flyer with the pin, called right away and made a reservation. The time we had planned to go wasn't included so I changed my plans to late Nov/early December. The agent was able to make a reservation for me using the pin, giving me 35% off the vaule resorts, even though we are staying until December 5th, and the offer only extends to December 3rd. Additionally, I was able to use it for a Family Suite which is really good since all three of our kids are over 18 and we would have had to book three rooms to accomodate 5 adults under the offer.

If your dates go past the available date, call and ask, it can't hurt.

Called & was able to apply my PIN to both our YC & GF reservations. Saved $220 over the public code. Total savings over rack rate: $1750!! (Not that I'd pay rack rate )

I asked the agent if he needed the numbers on the post card. He said no, he could see them. He was very happy to apply them for me. He even commented on the great trips we have booked. He made sure everything was the same & gave me the new totals. Total time on the phone: 12 minutes!

If I book now with this new PIN code, would I be able to change to FREE dining if it becomes available and still get a AAA discount?

I seem to always get the best deal with FREE dining and then getting a AAA discount on the room pkg. I am just wanting to secure my dates and hotel choice now.

Plus I am getting to excited to wait!
