My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Have you seen the new Mickey dishes at Target? The last thing I need is more dishes, but here goes .....

P1010741-1.jpg

The also had some small appetizer plates shaped like Mickey's glove, but they didn't look like they would hold much :goodvibes I put the red bowl (from Christmas) in so you could see the size of the smaller black ones.

It's all Wigd's fault for putting the idea in my head to go to Target so I wouldn't have to clean house :rolleyes1

OH, and it's a little late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family!

I bought that tray, the large black Mickey bowl and 8 of the small Mickey glove appetizer plates. The kids really wanted the plates, so we figured we might as well get enough for entertaining (they really are pretty small, but good enough for the kids)! My dh gave me one of the Mickey glasses for Christmas and told me about all of the Disney stuff. He then brought me to Target to pick out more items! :goodvibes

Can I ask for a favor for prayers. Some friends from church were in a bad wreck yesterday. Mom is in critical but stable condition. The 2 month old and 10 year old both had to be airlifted to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. The 2 month old is in stable condition but the 10 year old was just taken off life support. The Mom had not been told yet(She is at a different hospital). Please pray for this family during this horrible time. Thanks.

This family has my prayers.

first of all, tell miss brooklynn that she's did great in the recital! i was 5 when i had my first dance recital. i took ballet and acrobats that year. part of our acrobat routine was to do cartwheels across the floor. well, i hadn't yet mastered the art of the cartwheel, so every time i'd do one i'd fall down. instead of landing on my feet. the ENTIRE AUDIENCE laughed at me!!! when we got back stage i cried because i was so angry with being laughed at. my mom tried to explain to me that they weren't being mean, that they were laughing because they thought i was cute. yeah, the 5yo thinking process doesn't quite grasp the laughing-with-you idea!

Here we are.

SSRStayOct2010019.jpg

aw, i miss this place! we had such a good trip there in 2008.

Magic Kingdom dressed in autumn colors.

SSRStayOct2010030.jpg

can't wait to see this in 8 months, 3 weeks and 4 days!!!!!! :dance3:

I wanted one picture with all of my kids and grandkids.
Drew was caught mid-cookie.

Christmas2010118.jpg

so glad we got a memom picture! hope you frame that one, mid-cookie and all!

Brooklynn ran to him and said, "Jarvis, I missed you!"

 this is so sweet!

i forgot to quote this but i actually read the update with the story about your stealing the stuff from the emporium when my mom was in town and i read it aloud to her....we were cracking up! :rotfl: you're such a criminal, memom!!!!

looks like you guys had a good christmas! we did, too. just stayed at home and enjoyed my time with my boys, which is exactly what i wanted to do. isn't it so cool that it snowed??? and on seth's first christmas too! although he won't remember a thing about it! it didn't start here until after dark on christmas night but it was still SOOOO pretty and we got a good bit! :goodvibes

Good morning! I am about to start work and just wanted to check in. Yes, I am happy to be going in March. We got an amazing rate at the GF for the conference so that made it worthwhile. We are going to make this trip a more laid back trip than the last ones. I want to have lots of pool time and just hanging out. The good thing also is that I will be able to see my nephew play in the MK parade after all. He will be at MK on 3/13 in the parade. We are excited to see his band! Love the pics from last night. I wish there was someway I could be there for the NYE meet also. It looks like it will be a blast!!

We might have been going at the same time if we had stuck with my spring break weeks, but flights were so much more during that week, and in backing it up, we were fortunate enough to get the free dining. :)

I am glad you get to see your nephew in the parade. What a fun experience!

Start working on the husband for NYE. ;) Make him take the trash out in the cold and do everything that reminds him how cold Tennessee is in the winter. Then show him the sunshine and palm trees on the webcam and plant the seed for a winter trip. :thumbsup2

I was so embarrassed of him making me run after you because I knew you all were headed to meet Trent.

Yup he got his Dole Whip and it instantly became his new favorite Disney treat.

That makes me feel better. :goodvibes

You didn't need to be embarrassed. We thought it was funny, and we would have stayed if the timing had been different.

I would kill for a Dole Whip right now. Those are my absolute favorite Disney food!

I like them, but I also like the root beer floats. Both are so good, especially in the summer. Yummmmm!

Hi MeMom! Did you go back to work/school yesterday? Was it as hard for you as it was for me and the kiddos? Yawn!

Will the Art of Animation Suites be family suites at all? As a family of six, I am always looking for for rooms that will hold all of us. We're going to try a AsMu Family suite in October I think! Do you think this year will be busier with the anniversary? I wonder if they will offer any special discounts. How are the crowds normally in Oct?

October is Disney is definitely gorgeous and when we want to go back for sure! So I'm REALLY enjoying your photos. Love all of the orange!

Three buildings of suites and one building of single rooms is my understanding, so it could be a great place for you to keep your eye on.

I don't know that they will be signifigantly busier. Most people won't even know it's an anniversary unless they promote it in a big way.

The weather is great in October, and the crowds are fine, as far as we see it. Not like the busy summer and holiday times we are used to.

Our kids came back today. They were pretty good, but they'll liven up tomorrow, I'm sure. I got a new student.

Just wanted to show this again for everyone to see.

I know many friends will be sending good thoughts and prayers for this family. I am glad reelmom felt comfortable in sharing this with us.

attempting to catch up. baby steps!

erin and i are going to see the broadway version at the fox (where we saw mary poppins) next saturday!

anna got a beautiful picture of it at night during our december 2008 trip. if you'd like a copy, you're welcome to steal it. just let me know.

she's very pretty!

ahhhhh....morocco.....

Jill, Brooklynn, and I are seeing Beauty and the Beast, too, as far as I know.

Love seeing all of your Christmas pictures ! What a warm, loving family you have! You make us feel like we are right there with you!

Love the picture of you with your kids/grandkids! What a beautiful picture (even Drew caught mid cookie! )!

You are welcome to stop in and be a part of our family get-togethers just any old time. :thumbsup2

when i read this i wasn't thinking right and i thought you meant it was the last time you'd see him before brooklynn's birthday from THE TIME YOU WROTE IT IN MID-DECEMBER. knowing brooklynn's birthday is in august, i was thinking you weren't going to see him from december until august!!!!! i was like, holy crap....poor memom!

SUCH sweet pictures!

it's bugging me too! i guess we are co-OCD!

great picture!

hey, i know that baby on the right!!!!! i know the one on the left too! they are destined to be best disney friends!

I loved those Christmas pictures of the boys. I know their presence has added so much joy to your families and to us, as well.

I am counting down the weeks to be able to see Trent again. Jarvis was going to go down there and visit, but his mom got sick, so he spent his money and time going to see her. He said he hopes to be able to go down there sometime in the next two months. If we could space out family and friend visits, I think Trent would make it better. He loves when Anita and Marc go down there, and I know he would enjoy meeting other DIS friends, too.

Good for your husband! Seems like several husbands are coming around. :goodvibes

It was a memorable Christmas. The snow just made it extra special. :santa:

Brooklynn's recital was fun. She wasn't worried about anybody laughing after she got the promise of the My Little Pony set.

You deserve to have an incredible trip when your 8 months, 3 weeks, and 4 days are up! :yay:

I am very glad you got time to catch up with us. :)

Just wanted to give you a live shopping report. They already have the
40th anniversary merchandise out and ready to go.

Awwwwww, I just went through the Christmas pictures and it was like I was with family!
I really miss you guys!!!
Looks like a great time was had by all and I love that picture with you and your kids MeMom!!!

I'm thinking now with the possibility of an even longer trip in June we may skip the trip in July all together, well, still go to Charleston and just stay at the beach.... and maybe no Disney in October either. That will help with the all family trip in December.

Did I mention we were driving to Charleston? That could just bring us your way...
Maybe a hippo meet?

Are you going through Atlanta or anywhere near Charlotte? Or both ?? Well I guess both won't really work. :confused3 :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 Yup he got his Dole Whip and it instantly became his new favorite Disney treat.
I am glad he finally got it. He has been chasing that since July right?

Hugs and Prayers.

I have watched three of them. My first one was the Animal Kingdom one. The rest of the family watched it with me before everyone scattered. We all enjoyed it. At least some of them are the ones that were on TV, but there are no commercials. I love them!!!

I just ordered them :thumbsup2 They should be here next week. I'm hoping they'll make the next 7 weeks go by quickly ::yes::

Reelmom, the family is definitely in my prayers!!! How sad!

Love the 40th anniversary merchandise! I know what it going on my shopping list for May! :goodvibes

Sending prayers from across the pond too Reelmom xxx

Looking forward to reading about your evening with Bubby!

Are any of the DISers on here going to be in the world during August 11th and Sept 1st? Probably not as you're kids will all be back at school! But I thought I'd ask? Those are the dates of our 3-week trip and I have lots of Disney days planned for Toby! We are not far off our 180-day mark for ADRs! (it IS still 180-days isn't it?!?!?)

Me, me! As of right now it looks like the week of aqug 14. My DD goes back on the 22nd. Hope to book tomorrow.

Reelmom how is that family doing? I hope the mom and baby are recovering. It is so sad. Many prayers.

Memom love the pic of your whole family. I am like you and I have very few pics of the whole fam. We did have one taken at GF in front of the tree this Dec trip.

I saw some things on Our Laughing Place, too. Thanks for sharing!
I will set aside some money to buy something, for sure, since I did go to Disney World in 1971 and will be there again in 2011. Pretty cool! :cool1:

Are you going through Atlanta or anywhere near Charlotte? Or both ?? Well I guess both won't really work. :confused3 :rotfl2:

I am glad he finally got it. He has been chasing that since July right?

I'm sure Jill would be up for us making an Atlanta meet if Anita and Marc come through that way at any time. We'll see where all their travels are taking them. They could see baby Seth and all the kid DISers and grown up DISers that made the last meet, and hopefully some new ones! :dance3:

I just ordered them :thumbsup2 They should be here next week. I'm hoping they'll make the next 7 weeks go by quickly ::yes::

You will enjoy them. I was a very surprised and happy girl when I opened those! Love you, Jill, for your thoughtfulness.

Reelmom, the family is definitely in my prayers!!! How sad!

I'll have to see what all they have and give you a preview when we go in February. :thumbsup2

My computer was freezing up last night, so I didn't even attempt pictures last night. I'll try for the evening with Bubby pictures tonight and see what happens. I need a new laptop, like yesterday. ;)

A three week trip sounds heavenly. :goodvibes

I look forward to August/September trips after I retire.

Definitely. So sorry to hear about this family. :grouphug:

Reelmom thoughts and prayers your friends.

Such a horrible situation. My thoughts and prayers are with this family.

I'll be sure to fit that family in my prayers tonight.

:hug::hug:

Hugs and Prayers.

Sending lots of prayers!

I am so sorry to hear of the family in the wreck. That is so awful.

We all feel this so personally, because we know that this could be any of us. We never know what our days will hold, and unfortunately, some of them hold tragedies like this. We can do little to really comfort those involved, but we know that God and those in their inner circle will wrap their loving arms around them through the whole thing.

***************************************

In July trip news, since Marc and Anita are not going to be with us for our 'Ohana meal after all, I went ahead and changed it from the 6th to the 4th. Now we can go over and eat and then hang out until time for fireworks. I made our ADR this morning, so we are all set to go! :dance3: We have had an 'Ohana breakfast, but not a dinner, so we are looking forward to this very much.

Brooklynn has chosen to go to Garden Grill for our other table service, so we need to decide when we want to do that, since we have shortened our days. We could do it on Saturday or Wednesday to kind of spread things out, or any other day, if it doesn't matter to anyone. We want to do it at a time that Trent can be with us, so it might actually end up being on Sunday. No real big deal on that one, but I did want to snag that 'Ohana one quickly.

That is so sad. I cannot even imagine what they are going through. Thoughts & prayers for them.

MeMom glad you got the ressie for the 4th. It should be a great time!!

I get the emails everyday from LaughingPlace. They have a lot of 40th anniv. items out. I will wait until May & see the items myself before buying anything. I think LaughingPlace is highly priced!! I have bought a few items but not too many from them.
