My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

I agree... I think Disney in October is very magical. In fact, I think I may prefer it to Christmas! :scared1: I cannot wait to go back. ::yes::

I tell you, I am not a pin collector but you are tempting me!!!

I hope you get to see Trent soon. I'm sure it is tough being so far away. :goodvibes

Finally caught up! I've been at friends houses all break. I'm ready to be home to catch up on my DIS time! :lmao:

I'm trying to convince my mom for us to go the day before New Years next year so I can see the fireworks on Poly beach! So far we're still leaving on the second, but I hope we can all do a meet or something?

In other news, my first semester of high school is in the books. It went by so fast!

I love all your Christmas pics:thumbsup2.

My friends & family know me well. I got three Disney watches :goodvibes One from my DH, one from my best friend & one from the girls in my office. They are all different though so that is a good thing.

I was not really into pin collecting until this last trip & I got one from each park & one from BC to use on my bulletin board & dividers at work. I love looking at them & want to get lots more on my next trip.

Sounds like you made your decision to shorten your summer trip & then take an Oct. trip. That sounds good!!

I love the pins. I might start collecting pins my refrigerator cannot take many more magnets.

I think you will enjoy it. :thumbsup2

I haven't made any DIS friends, locally, but that's ok. I'll just see my DIS friends online. :) I can't believe that I forgot to mention in my last post on how much I love the Muppets Christmas Carol!
And thanks again for the shopping pics. I want to get some pins to use on my bulletin board at home. They are much cuter than a thumb tack! ;)

Definitely cuter than a thumbtack.
Slightly more expensive, but when I divide the cost by the number of days in a year, and then by how many years I plan to have them, then it's quite a bargain. They do bring me much more happiness than a plain round tack, too. ;)

Jill and Trent were enjoying the Muppets a lot. We haven't done that at Hollywood Studios in a while, so maybe we can fit that in on the next trip for Brooklynn.

I think Magic Kingdom looks so cool with all the orange. I want to go this year not only for the usual stuff, but for MK's birthday. Next year ( October 2012), Jill's family is going with another family that they do things with down in AL. So, I really want to go this fall. I guess I could try to talk my friend, Kay, into a short October trip during my fall break in 2012. We'll see. That's still a long way away.

It is hard being away from him, but he seems to have a good life there, so we'll work out the travel when we are able to.

Having alone time is important, as is having friend time. Enjoy catching up on the DIS.

The week after NYE the crowds will be so much less, of course, and flights will be less, so I can see your mom's reasoning. If you are able to make it, though, come on and join the party and bring your family.

Good luck in school this semester!

I think the pin thing will grow on you, too. I like picking out special pins for each trip.

I think shortening the trip will be good in a few ways. We won't lose time with Trent. We'll make it to the wedding. John will probably do better on a shorter trip and not get so worn out and grumpy. ;) We'll have more cushion financially to go in October. Of course, we still love those long trips, but it looks like it is best to do it this way this time. With Trent there now, more frequent but shorter trips may be the way we go.

Hey! I have been lurking for a while and just wanted to say I love your trip reports! I just started my own and hope it will end up as good as yours! Your reports help me get into the Disney spirit. Thanks! :goodvibes

Have you seen the new Mickey dishes at Target? The last thing I need is more dishes, but here goes .....

P1010741-1.jpg

The also had some small appetizer plates shaped like Mickey's glove, but they didn't look like they would hold much :goodvibes I put the red bowl (from Christmas) in so you could see the size of the smaller black ones.

It's all Wigd's fault for putting the idea in my head to go to Target so I wouldn't have to clean house :rolleyes1

OH, and it's a little late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family!

There was another miracle here at the house one day when the girls were here. Bella fell down in the den and Drew picked her up and brought her to me. That required him not only touching her, but holding her and walking through the house. It looked pretty funny, I tell ya, him hold 'the baby'. :rotfl:

I wouldn't hold Kazin or Caleb for a while. I thought I was gonna break them :rotfl: I think Kazin was 6 months old the first time I held him. I held Caleb the same day and he was 4 months old. Everyone was trying to get me to hold them but I was scared. Eventually my uncle just put Kazin in my lap and said "Hold him." Jeremy really wanted me to hold Caleb and when I finally did and I looked over and Jeremy was asleep on the couch :lmao: Speaking of Jeremy, they're coming down on Friday for the weekend :goodvibes

Have you watched those Disney park DVD's yet? My mom got me an Amazon.com gift card and I'm thinking about ordering them.

Ah, Magic Kingdom in the fall cheered me up on this "I-am-up-way-too-early" morning. So did the picture of Pop! So fun!

Cute, cute, cute Christmas pins -- is it too early to start my shopping list for next December?

Duffy comes nekkid??? For some reason I thought he came in his little sailor top. Poor guy! :lmao:

Sending a belated Happy New Year to you, Jill and the family! Loved all the Christmas photos...especially the one of you and the "kids" and grandkids.

It looks like you all had a perfect family Christmas. I wish my family had been all together, but at least we were together on Thanksgiving. I love your family picture.

It sounds like there is going to be a big group for New Year 2012. We are thinking about going at that time. I think that would be so much fun. We would get probably get there right before New Year and stay the week after.

I hope you have a great first day back to school.

I would love to be in Disney in the fall sometime -- all the decorations look so fun!

I'm so glad they are finally doing something to the other side of Pop. It's our Disney "home" like it is yours, so I am really excited to see how the suites turn out. It's Disney, though, I know it'll be great ;)

Notice anything in my signature? YES, WE JUST BOOKED!!!!

I am very persuasive when I want to be. :rotfl2: No, Jason likes Disney more than he lets on and after I told him that I looked at maaaany places and Disney was cheapest, he agreed. :cool1:

Love the fall pics. I think our second trip of the year will be last week of September. I get to see the fall decorations and MNSSHP.

You people are enablers. Evil, evil enablers. :) Just kidding, you know I love ya!!

So I am looking at NY 2012 & since the vacation days would fall in 2012 if I left late on the 30th or early on the 31st - this could work!!! Oh Lord, I'm sick. :) But in a good way, right?! :)

Love those pins. Hopefully they well still be there in Aug.

You can call Disney Merchandising, if you want to be sure to get them. When we go in February, I will try to remember to taek pictures of SKU numbers and prices, if you want me to.

You have come to the right place to get into the Disney spirit. The people around here keep it going all year. Welcome aboard. :)

I really like those plates. :thumbsup2
Thanks for the comparison of the red to black bowls. I do have the red one.

I need to stay out of all stores except for the grocery store and the gas station from now until February 26th.

But I do like those plates.

.

Gotta look when I head to target tomorrow.

Just be sure I am not allowed to go shopping with you. :upsidedow

Have you watched those Disney park DVD's yet? My mom got me an Amazon.com gift card and I'm thinking about ordering them.

I have watched three of them. My first one was the Animal Kingdom one. The rest of the family watched it with me before everyone scattered. We all enjoyed it. At least some of them are the ones that were on TV, but there are no commercials. I love them!!!

It's never too early, I wouldn't thin. Just be sure you don't put them somewhere and forget them like one of our friends did. :rolleyes1

I think the unclothed bear has many outfits to choose from now and from many different countries. Both of the girls have a Disney Bear from bck before he became Duffy. I don't see us getting into buying the outfits, however. They just got them as baby gifts to sit on the shelf, because if my granddaughters were going to have bears, then of course they had to be Disney bears. ::yes::

Maybe you can make it to some of these meets that are evolving?

Yeah, come on! We'd love to see you again. I think you and Brook and maybe some others will be doing the same thing. It should be great after that weekend, I would think.

Have you seen the models yet? I have a feeling they will be priced higher than the Music suites.

Several people seem to be winning their menfolk over to the magic side lately. ;)

Fall is pretty, and MNSSHP is a lot of fun!

CP and I are graduates of the Miss Anita Wigd School of Enabling. We were cheerleaders, too. I'll leave it to your imagination which one of us was at the top of the pyramid. :rotfl:

If you leave on the 30th or 31st, you'll miss the big hoop-de-doo on the beach. :sad1:

Hi there MeMom :wave2: I'm sorry I am sooooo late to this TR! Life got kinda crazy and I was off the boards for over a month  I subscribed here when I got back a couple of weeks ago, but just now had time to go through and get caught up ON ALL 36 PAGES, you are one popular lady! :goodvibes

I'll do my best to stay caught up now!

Disney thief on the loose!!:lmao:
Seeing pictures of Bella climbing reminds me so much of when Amy was a baby. They have the same hair, too.
I'm in the for the NYE meet. I'm thinking I'll do the 31st-5th. Christmas and NYE is the same week for this year so I don't see why the week before Christmas would count as WB.
I meant to buy the Mickey nutcracker pin but I waited out on it because I was hoping it would go on sale after NYE. It never came home with me. Maybe, I'll find it at my parks outlet and I can get it there.

After a little rest, we headed back to Magic Kingdom. We had only one goal, and that was to meet Cheena and Ed at Aloha Isle for Ed's much anticipated Dole Whip. We went in and went straight to Adventureland. After a few minutes, we got a text from Cheena saying that Ed had never seen the castle show, so they were going to stop and watch it. I texted back that we would just meet them over there instead of doing the Dole Whip, because we were going straight back to SSR to spend the evening with Trent.

We met them over to the left of the castle and talked while watching the show.

I love it when Mickey tells Minnie she has always been his princess. :lovestruc

SSRStayOct2010178.jpg

SSRStayOct2010179.jpg

After the show was over, we started out. I guess Ed wasn't paying attention to the fact that the four os us were heading toward the exit, but when it hit him, he sent Cheena after us asking, "What about the Dole Whip?" We told him that we had texted before that it would have to be the Dole Whip or the castle show because of time. He looked like a disappointed little boy. I hope he went on and got his Dole Whip. :goodvibes

As we left Magic Kingdom, I got a picture of a themed punkin.

SSRStayOct2010181.jpg

And with that, we headed back to SSR to see our Bubby. :)

That would be great MeMom if you could do that for the pins. I went to Target today and seen they have villain ones also. They did have the plates out for them so not sure which ones i want.
