My Moderate Dilemma

Okay, here's the deal. My first choice for our September trip is CSR. As of right now, there are no rooms available, but I've been told this could change and to keep checking. I will do that.

My second choice is CBR, but the will be undergoing a pool rehab and I don't know that I want to deal with that. Normally, I would care since we hardly spend any time at the pool, the park commandos that we are. But we're taking a longer trip this time so that we can relax at the resort more. I know that CBR has quiet pools, but I'd prefer an open main pool.

Assuming I can't get CSR, this leaves me with POR and POFQ. We stayed at POR last year and liked it a lot. However, since we just stayed there, we'd like to try POFQ. But the resort is small and the main pool doesn't look as fabulous as the others. Since we'll be spending more time there, this is important.

I'm really conflicted as to what to do. Ideally, CSR would open up and that would solve my dilemma. But since I can't count on that, should I book at POR or should I give POFQ a try? We did walk around that resort on our last trip and liked the atmosphere. I'm just iffy about the pool situation.

If it helps, my party consists of five adult women, ranging in age from 64 to 33.

September is relatively slow, where is CSR sold out for that, via disney? I would suggest checking other agencies, someone must have a whack of rooms out there, somewhere.

Don't forget Sept is free dining and WDW offered the bounceback program this Sept. I also suggest to keep trying and would look at POFQ in the mean time.

Don't forget you can use the POR pools as well as the POFQ pools if you are staying there.

i know how you feel about wanting to try another resort... I always think I want to try something different!!! Did you guys ever think about staying at a Deluxe? WL & the AKL are great choices & are a little less in price then other deluxes... (y I dont know but they are)

I would love to stay at AKL, but we've opted to go for a longer trip than usual this time around and that means sticking with the Mods, which are perfectly fine for me. The next time we go for a shorter trip, I want to try AKL.

Don't forget that each of the CBR villages have beaches complete with hammocks and beach chairs. The island in the middle of the lake also has hammocks, picnic tables and benches. There are plenty of places to just hang out at the CBR.

My family has stayed at the POR for the second year in a row. It is a beautiful and peaceful resort but still feels like Disney. We get a water view room and request a view of the quiet pool. Building 39 is a very nice location and sometimes you actually have the pool to yourself. The food court is great with alot of choices and there is a boat to take you to DTD which is really nice.
