And it was only a year and a half old!

The other day, I noticed things were really wet after the wash was done. I first thought the kids played with the water level setting so I reset it..

Then DH noticed it was still sopping soaking wet, like the spin cycle did nothing..

Ok, luckily we still have the home warranty that was included in the house for all appliances..

Call the home warranty place, and a person comes out.. get this.. the transmission is dead on this new washer. He can't fix it since he is not a Maytag authorized repair person. The home warranty place sets me up with another repair person, and they don't have a transmission in stock, but will have to order one...

It may be in on Friday! YIKES!

That stinks! (no pun)

And that Maytag guy on TV is bored stiff all the time. Maybe he's waiting for parts too.

**Just trying to cheer you up**

I would be very upset if my machine broke.

It's good that it's covered under the warranty -- mine wasn't. I think the old Maytags were really good, but the newer ones are not. Consumer Reports does not give them good reviews, and after owning one for a few years (I had expected it would be 20 or more - ha!), I agree.
