Hello :wave2: Everyone and Welcome to my 2nd trip report! If you want to read more about us be sure to check out my last trip report from our October Polynesian trip. Alot of my friends on DIS have been requesting I do a trippie, so I can't let them down. It's alot of fun getting to know each others family through our trip reports :goodvibes . Let me introduce you to the cast of characters.

Nichole:tinker: (me) 34 busy mom to 2 wonderful kids, who runs the show everyday and and can be quite uptight sometimes ;) . I love to travel mostly to the Caribbean, Disney and want to eventually go to Hawaii. My first trip to Disney was when I was 6 and this will be my 7th trip. I'm planning 2 other trips right now. One back to NJ where we are from. We are going for a week to visit family, friends, and the Beach of course. Our other trip is now Disney in October for 8 nights. I canceled the cruise. First I booked WL but then changed to POFQ and then back to WL and then CSR. Now we have finally settled on Beach Club Resort :yay: ! I :think :lmao: .

Since my last trippie I changed my hair again, darker. I hate this picture though :scared1: Thomas actually took it when he was playing with the camera.

Tommy 33 :donald: my husband of almost 9 years and daddy to DD and DS. He really is most like Grumpy . Doesn't love Disney like the rest of us but tolerates it for us. This will be his 5th trip. He is a great Dad and works hard. He would be happier just hanging out at the Poly than going to parks all day. Definately is looking forward to the cruise.

Notice I like to make everyone wear matching outfits sometimes on our trips.

Kaylee age 7 will be turning 8 on this trip, she is most like :tink: and loves Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Jonas Brothers and listening to her Ipod alot. Also loves to stay up way past bedtime to watch American Idol ;), good thing she is a straight A student. She is a great big sister and has a huge heart even though I'm seeing the attitude surface every once in a while  . She loves Disney and this will be her 5th trip there. The Poly is her favorite resort :cloud9: .

Thomas, age 3.5 is a cross between ::MickeyMo and :stitch:. This will be his 3rd trip. He has his moments like every 3 year old and is very shy around new people. He loves all things Disney and asks constantly when we are going back. His favorite characters are Mickey, Buzz lightyear, and McQueen of course. The monorail is one of his favorite rides but he loves them all so far. He also asks about Poly alot :rolleyes1 .

Matching again! Disney themed of course.

Well after we got back from our last trip, of course I was ready to plan another one. Helps with Disney depression ;) Also gives me something fun to look forward since life seems to be lacking that sometimes lately. A few months later we started thinking about what we would be doing for Kaylee's Birthday in March. We usually plan a party but we are partied out this year. She has always wanted to go to Disney on her Birthday. I always say 'No way it's Spring break and wayyy too crowded for me. Did I mention I'm impatient :rolleyes1 and not really into crowds. Well we even considered having her party at American Girl Cafe in Atlanta, but I gave in and we are going to Disney :yay: for Kaylee's :bday: .

I'm hoping even with the crowds we have a great time and Kaylee will have wonderful memories of being at MK on her birthday. We are leaving this Thursday after school and are driving to Valdosta and staying overnight. We are staying at Pop for 3 nights, though I have considered upgrading to a moderate a few times. Tom and like to have quiet and relax a bit, so I'm worried a bit about staying at a crowded resort. The kids are a bit dissapointed not to be staying at Poly and I know we will miss it. . But we won't be at the resort on such a short trip and well be in the parks mostly. I'm finishing up the itinerary today and I will post it when I'm done.

:cool1: :cool1: I'm here! Can't wait to read about your plans! I have two birthdays coming up, (Michael is turning 7 and Emily is turning 5 - gasp)! So while you are riding rides, eating great meals, meeting fun characters and seeing your kid's faces light up, I will be organizing goody bags, playing crazy party games, and trying to look organized and not too frazzled at a gazillion 1st graders and a gaggle of pre-schoolers in my house! :scared1: :scared1:

A joint birthday at Disney sounds a lot nicer! I think I might have to put a birthday trip to Disney in the works in a couple of years! :rolleyes1

Sounds fun! Can't wait to live vicariously through you! :worship:

Sara,
The Disney Birthday trip for Emily and Michael sounds like a good plan. We have had the crazy birthday parties for the last 2 years. The ones at home are sometimes even worse with the cleanup, but I'm sure you will be fine. Be sure and fill me in on how your Parties went. This year hopefully the only stress we will haveis how much hand sanitizer to bring ;) . I have tons of fun stuff planned for Kaylee.

Hi,

Your kids are adorable and how exciting that she gets to be in the Magic Kindgom for her actual birthday.

I'm here too! I'm so excited for you guys!

I think you look great in that first picture! :)

This sounds exactly like Samantha! Except she doesn't have an ipod - wants one though. :rolleyes1 Who does Kaylee like on AI? Sam is a big fan of David A. She gives me a list each week of who to vote for on her behalf after she goes to bed.

I hope you don't upgrade to a Moderate - I think you guys will really enjoy POP. It is certainly not the Poly but still lots of fun and very festive. :)

Thanks, I hate looking at pictures of myself.
Too funny about Samantha letting you know who to vote for. Kaylee also wites down who to vote for. I guess they like David A because he is young. She doesn't like Amanda and wants her to go home  . We (adults) are routing for Brooke White and Michael Johns so far. Kaylee loves her Ipod and so far takes excellent care of it. You can get a refurbed one online at the Apple Store. We paid $70 for her Ipod Nano. Now she wants a laptop :rolleyes1 but I told her No way, we don't need to keep up with the Joneses. Her friend has a pink one.

I don't think we will be upgrading, it would be a waste of money. My DH of finally looked at pics of Pop and he thought it was awful  . But later I told him we could upgrade and of course he tried to say he was kidding :rolleyes1. I'm sure it will be fine. I'm more worried about noisefrom other guests. I requested 50's high floor away from the pool. We are getting very excited for the trip and Kaylee wants to stay home from school Thurday and help pack  .

Hi I just found your report and had to post! We have some things in common. I am from the NJ Shore! I also have a 7 year old (albeit a boy) who will turn 8 this month! We will be in Disney in April for my 10th anniv. I hope you have a magical trip and your children are beautiful!:goodvibes

Hi Nichole! Great start to the new trippie! You are going to have such fun celebrating Kaylee's birthday in the MK!!! I want to celebrate my birthday this year in the MK but my Tom says NO. :headache:

Anyway... I only had time to scan and lurk on your last trippie so I'm glad to be hopping on right in the beginning! :goodvibes

Thanks for the kind words about my kids. I started reading a bit of your pre trippie today. Looks like you will be having a nice 10 day trip for your Anniversary at POFQ. For my tenth anniversary in 2009 I'm hoping for Poly, GF, or Hawaii ;) . Doesn't look good though. How did you like Pop BTW? This will be our first trip not staying deluxe. I miss the Jersey shore alot, I'm from Wall twp originally. I think you may have told me where your from but I can't remember, was it Spring Lake heights?? Anyway have a wonderful trip and I'll be reading your trippie too.

Hi Nicole,
Glad to have you onboard. We can't wait to go back to Disney, well except for Tom  but you know how that is. It will be a short trip but I plan to try and squeeze in alot. I would love to go to MK on my Bday too. How is your planning going? Have you been on the cruise boards much?? I have been on there alot lately. My DH is so looking forward to the cruise. We just upgraded to a Cat 6 so we will have a balcony. Did you book a Cat 4, since you have 3 kids?

Hi Nichole :) Glad to see you started a PTR.

What an awesome way to celebrate a birthday! :) My oldest will be turning 8 in May.

Have you ever been to Hawaii? We went when we were moving back from Australia and spent a few days there. It's a beautiful place but way too humid for me!

Can't wait to hear more of your plans :)

Has she asked for a cell phone yet? :sad2: Three kids in Sam's 2ND GRADE class have them already. She does have a little Barbie MP3 player but that isn't good enough - she wants the ipod. I want one too! :)

Hi Carissa,
I have never been to Hawaii but have always wanted to go. It looks so beautiful there. I would love to go to Australia too. I want to do that Cuddle a Koala program. Have you ever done that? You only live once and that would just be so awesome. These kids are just growing up way too fast for me.

Yes she has asked for a cell phone:sad2:, I think 2 girls in her class have one. I'm trying to keep her little as long as possible but it's not working. She is not getting a cell phone yet. Does Samantha like the Ipod shuffle? They are on sale often. Not that you want her to be walking around with ear buds all day and singing. Kaylee of course wanted a Nano like her dad, A pink one though. That was her Christmas present. I really only use mine for when I work out, which I don't have time for since I'm on the DIS too much  .

I put my foot down with the Laptop though, she has to be way older. Kaylee won a trophy last week for a technology fair project that she did at school. She definately didn't get that from me. It took me 5 months to figure out how to post pics.

I had my picture taken with a koala (while holding it), but the kids have to be a certain age. It was pretty cool :thumbsup2

I want to do that. I'll have to send away for some travel brochures. When the kids get a little bigger we will be able to travel further.

Yeah - it's definitely a hard trip with kids. As much as I didn't want to leave Australia and as much as I was homesick and wanting to return, I didn't have it in me to travel back there right away. Now that two years have passed, I feel ready to go back :thumbsup2

I have never been to Disney during a peak or holiday season so any tips you have for me would be great! I know it wil be very crowded but I still think I will be in shock when I actually see these crowds :scared1: . Here are our plans so far.

Thurday :car: driving to Disney stopping in Valdosta for the night. We are not leaving until 2 or 2:30 Pm and I have to drive the dogs to my moms and then come home and pack the car and just wait for DH to get home so we can leave.

Friday- Plan to arrive at Pop by 10 am hopefully. Then we are going to HS for the day. Must Do's are the New Playhouse Disney, VOTLM, Animation Class once or twice. (kaylee says 5 times at least). Also we want to see charcters, Cars, Power Rangers, Buzz & Woody and handy Manny for Thomas. Kaylee wants to go the HISTK playground. we may possibly see the new Block Party Parade, HSM2 or Beauty and the beast.

We are having dinner at 50's PT Cafe and I special ordered a cake for Kaylee with Hannah Montana on it.

Saturday- Kaylee's Birthday! We are going to MK for the day and I made her a ressie for BBB for 8 am before the park opens. I had Tom print up a special invite for her, I will include it in the trip report.

We plan to try to see most of Fantasyland early and then line up for Toontown and see if Kaylee gets to ride with Goofy, I told not to get her hopes up though. She wants to see the Princesses and ride BTMRR since it was closed in October. After that we must ride POC, Magic Carpets, HM and Buzz. thomas wants to go to Pooh's playground and see Pooh, Tigger and Darby. We may watch the afternoon parade if we get alot done. Kaylee has requested to ride that awful speedway :scared: too.

Dinner- Chef Mickey's which was Kaylee's request, instead of CRT :confused3 I decided not to have her Bday Cake here since we may go back to Mk for Spectrmagic, also we love the desserts there. Though I won't be piggy out this trip :guilty: .

Sunday- Epcot which is having very busy EMH :rolleyes1 but that is my only choice. I think we might drive our own car there. We plan to ride Soarin and Test Track and hope Thomas is able to ride. I bought him new Sneakers the other day so the bottoms will not be worn out. The problem is he is not going to like some stranger trying to measure him  . We may go to WS for a bit or try to ride SE and Nemo. Lunch somewhere good at Epcot.

After lunch if the weather is warm we will be going to Typhoon Lagoon. I have never been here and it looks great. It's open until 7PM. Not sure if we will go back to Epcot or just call it a night.

Monday- Breakfast, Pack up and drive home 10 long hours :sad1:
I was trying to get DH to take off another day but he can't since we are taking a weeks vacation in June and October.

Just hoping we have a really good time even with the crowds and Kaylee has lots of special memories.

I have a crazy day today. I have to wait for a repair person to come and fix the spring:headache: on our garge door opener. Tons of :laundy: , packing , 1 dog needs a bath, and I have to go get Kaylee's Cupcakes for school Tomorrow. Also the kids want to decorate their own autograph books for the trip. I have to try to get Tom to read his copy of the itinerary :worried: so there will be no bickering at Disney. Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to the wall with him and he wants me to do all the planning. It's all fine until he decides to complain about something. 2 more days until we leave  .

I feel the same way about NJ, though it's a short plane ride, but homesick alot more now. Who knows maybe when we go to NJ in June, I'll be glad to go back to TN after. Or we may look at some houses :confused3 on our visit. We have been here almost 3 years.

I find myself running the numbers over and over again just hoping the deal of the century might pop up for my birthday. It's a big one this year ~ 40 :scared1: ~ and I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be but with getting a new house and all... it is longer than a long shot!

I've been over to the cruise board a little bit. We both subbed to a TR ~ did you notice? Mine is soooooooooooo far away that I don't want to get too wrapped up in it yet... then the wait will be all that more excrutiating!

Oh and yes... we booked a Cat. 4. I'm so looking forward to that verandah! :cloud9:
