SO happy you FINALLY bought me this Bambi!
IMG_7925.jpg

Apparently I haven't uploaded a single picture from our last two trips... maybe I didn't take any!

So here is her BIO:

Poor little Z ~ she was born with a hole in her heart and severe reflux. She never slept more than 1 hour at a time until she was over a year old. We never wanted to let her cry because we were afraid of what might happen to her heart (naive I know). She was held and coddled as a baby and is quite spoiled because of it.

She LOVES to travel to Disney and often asks me on days she is bored if we can go to MK. She loves to shop for stuffed animals and could easily open a stuffie shop!

She hates to walk and will pull out all she can to get a lift on someones shoulders. Although she insists she is a big girl ... she will take a stroller over carrying herself along on her two skinny, scrawny little legs any day.

She is about the meanest little three year old you will ever meet... but at the same time she is so sweet about her meanness that she can lure you in multiple times in a row to fall into her traps.

Her cute little face, body language and tiny voice can convince just about anyone to give her what they have that she wants.

When she was FINALLY 40 inches she hugged every CM who allowed her into the line and occasionally every CM we encountered along the way.

She is deathly allergic to berries (really hard living in Maine) and is not so patiently waiting to grow out of the allergy.

She hated characters until about a year ago and would occasionally wake up at night crying "No dog!" or "No Chippies!"

Hi, I'm joining in on your trip report. The girls are adorable! I wish my hubby would say he couldn't wait until May (we go at the end of May), you are a very lucky woman to have found a man who loves Disney as much as you!

Me! Okay so I am the camera lady ~ so there are very few pictures of my enjoying myself!

On top of that ~ most pictures will include one or both of the girls!

So my first Disney trip was WAY back in 1974. I was 6 months old and my crazy parents (you'll meet my mom later) threw me and my 3 year old brother in a station wagon and drove to WDW to CAMP at Fort Wilderness. My dad worked for GE at the time and I guess they gave a HUGE discount on ride tickets. So they figured why not.

Its been a loving relationship ever since.

My first onsite stay was not until 1998 when my BFF and I did a split stay between All Star Sports and Dixie Landings. It was here I acquired my lifetime Dixie landing mug. Alas it is gone now. :(

We took a LONG break from Disney and fell in love with HRH at UO. Then I fell in love with DH who then fell in love with HRH. Along came the kiddies and there was not much for them to do at Universal so we came back to Disney. We haven't been back to Universal yet... but someday we will.

My favorite place to stay is Beach Club. I am also very cheap and would rather have the dining plan than stay at a fancy hotel. I usually op for Pop. Last May DH convinced me to buy DVC and now we stay Deluxe.

He booked the first possible week he could at Bay Lake Towers and here we are!

I could spend ALL day browsing through Epcot with DD 5.5 ~ no problem. I've spent countless hours watching them color at the Kidcot stations and just soak it in while I can. I know the time is coming and coming too quickly where they won't want to spend their vacation time with us.

I'm pretty open so ask any questions and I'm happy to answer them!!

Welcome aboard!!

Yes my DH was just saying again tonight that there will be a weekend trip coming really soon! I asked who was going to pay for it .... I guess he is a man with a plan and a need for some Disney air!! :rotfl:

To be fair ~ he missed three of our trips last year and hasn't been since September... so he is jonesing!

Introducing! The man behind the trips. The guy who works so hard day in and day out to pay for our fun times at Disney! DH!

Last Day of a Trip...Last Picture of a trip... Unshaven. LOL!

At WCC ~ he finished it by the way... just about busted his bladder doing it though!

He is almost always holding one kid or another:

DH loves Disney as much as the rest of us. He is almost always carrying one of the girls on his shoulders. He is so good with them and loves to see them smile at Disney.

For some reason the second we step on to Disney property he is under some spell that makes him think we are the Rockefeller and he will buy the girls just about anything they bat an eyelash at. He is always talking about making this a cheap trip ~ but he is the big spender!

He was the driving force behind buy DVC and it is his most prized possession (not including me and the girls... HAHAHA).

Hubby to me last night: "I'm not going to make it to May! Start thinking of a long weekend trip!"

LOL! I told him he was worse than the girls ~ to which he replied "Only because I have money and they don't. I'm just waiting for the day that Mimi sits me down and says, listen daddy ~ I ran the numbers, this is totally doable!"

I got a good laugh out of that!

OMG so funny. that is my DH to a T. :rotfl2:

Not naive....our DD also has VSD/PDA and yeah, we did lots of unnecessary worrying and protecting when she was born & very young. Fortunately, her VSD has caused no complications and will likely never need surgical repair. but yea, its scary as hell

/
Z had a VSD. We were lucky it closed by her 1 year check. It was odd to me that no one in the hospital heard it and my pedi said the murmur was pretty bad and hooked us up with a pediatric cardiologist within a day or two.

She was checked at 6 months and still wasn't closed up .... when we checked at one year... we were good to go.

Top that off with the vomiting and lack of sleep. It is no wonder she is spoiled!! Although as you can see she never had trouble gaining weight!!

We really enjoy going during the Flower and Garden Festival and were sad to miss it by ONE DAY last year ~ we had rented a reservation for BCV and it couldn't be moved so we went the dates it was and missed the FGF. :(

Here are some of our pictures of the flowers from previous years!

Our dining reservations! Now that we have switched from Deluxe Dining to TIW we MAY cancel some breakfasts! We'll see. Our kids are strange and COULD potentially be awake at 6AM and starving or COULD sleep in until 10. I don't force the issue and let them sleep until they wake on their own.

So here is the current ADR's and I haven't done the Friday OR Saturday we first get there yet because I don't know if we will or won't. We may add QS for those days.

May 1st
Chef Mickey's (8:40)
Liberty Tree (1:05)
Tony's (7:20)

May 2nd
Ohana's (8:40)
Sci Fi (1:45)
50's Primetime (6:55)

May 3rd
1900 Park Fare (8:40)
LeCellier (1:30)
Coral Reef (7:15)

May 4th
Tusker House (8:15)
Yak and Yeti (12:30)
Teppan Edo(6:30)

May 5th
Kona(8:30)
Rose & Crown (1:20)
Ohana's (8:30)

May 6th
Crystal Palace(8:05)
The Plaza (1:00)
Yacht's Man

May 7th
Chef Mickey's (8:25)
Tutto Italia (1:30)

Of course at some of these it will just be appetizers and desserts! :)

I think we will like the flexibility of the TIW over Deluxe dining. I did make these ressies on the assumption that we would be getting deluxe dining so more than 1 or 2 may get canceled ~ I just can't decide which!!

Joining in! Your girlies are cutie pies.. The youngest looks very like you!

Welcome!! Thank you about my girlies! I know I can be biased! My youngest really is my Mini Me after all!

They are both very much like me ~ but DD2 looks more like me for sure!

Funny (and scary ) how the early weeks/months can be. Our pediatrician heard k's murmer (it was large) at her "going home" check -- imagine how freaked out we were when he told us he'd called in a PC to examine her that day and we had to just wait there, all packed up & ready to go and now freaking out. On top of that, she developed jaundice after birth (got more and more yellow in the first few days) and we had daily trips to the dr & the lab for blood work bcuz they weren't sure if the jaundice was related to her heart or something else. Luckily it turned out to be breastmilk jaundice (who knew:confused3) and 2 days on formula cleared it & she could return to nursing. :hippie: Oh, and, while we were traipsing our newborn back and forth to the dr & the lab, my DH's grandmother died. I remember having family members visiting our house after the viewing and me not wanting to have her out & amongst them for fear that she would catch a germ.:eek:

So yeah, I can so related to spoiling your little princess because you just never know. :flower3:::MinnieMo:

guess I should post too that while her VSD has not gone away, she has a anuerism which is blocking the hole to a large extent and preventing any back flow so that is a blessing. At our last PC visit her Dr finally said "she will probably never need surgery" and gave us a 2 year break from PC visits (we had gone yearly till then). WOw how excited we were --I have tears in my eyes now just thinking about that one. so all is well. :)

Glad to hear your daughter is doing well!

I wonder if girls are more prone to it?

I've always felt guilty about it because she was a c-section and delivered 2 weeks early at my request. So I often wonder if I'd let her go another two weeks if things would have been better. I guess you just never know right?!

I also feel bad about her berry allergy because pretty much all I could eat during my pregnancy with her was blueberries and watermelon. For 9 months straight.... everything else I attempted came right back up! BLAH!

So the first three nights it will be just me, my mom and the two girls. Daddy will have to join us later. Soooo.....

what to do? Everyone had annual passes ~ so I am thinking days by the pool and evenings in the parks or DTD. I'm thinking when we go to the park we can do some of the stuff that DH just doesn't care about riding. i.e. caroseaul, dumbo, magic carpet rides, space mountain (how can he not like this?)

I'm trying to decide if we should do quick service dining for those three days and then we can stock up on snack items to have in the room when we check into BLT.

I have no idea where we will be staying until we hit the 60 day mark since our points are in holding right now. I am hoping for AKL but not holding out a lot of hope and am thinking we will be at SSR ~ which is not all that bad! It's just I like for my mom to experience new stuff every time she comes with us and we stayed at SSR in November when her, the girls and I went for MVMCP.

AAK should have something, trying calling MS directly.Your little lasses are just precious, our little nieces and nephews also love Epcot. The tween ones love Epcot because of Kim Possible adventure , they can run around WS without us .

Ohh do they allow online booking now??

We have always called because I thought that was all we could do! I would love to be able to check online!

I keep thinking we should try KP ~ especially since you never know how long something is going to stick around (well except things like SSE and the Castle!) :rotfl: But the girls still see a bit small!

I do not know about online booking, I call MS direct and speak with someone. Are you DVC? If so put yourself on a wait list for your dates and make them check everything. The KP is great for all ages , adult kids like us and the wee ones. You should try it. I do not think it will disappear it has a big draw to it.

We are DVC. I'll definitely be calling on day 60! I'll grab a waiting list for AKL ~ but I usually call and ask for what I want first, second, third and then anything at all they have available!

We've been lucky and got AKL last minute twice! But in November we got SSR. Again... not BAD ~ but I want my mum to experience something new!

What a beautiful family. :goodvibes
Don't feel guilty re the early birth. The last month is just growing larger all organ development has already occurred.
