My Hubby's Dream Comes True! May 2011 (Warning ~ will be Picture Heavy!)

We are DVC. I'll definitely be calling on day 60! I'll grab a waiting list for AKL ~ but I usually call and ask for what I want first, second, third and then anything at all they have available!

We've been lucky and got AKL last minute twice! But in November we got SSR. Again... not BAD ~ but I want my mum to experience something new!

That is what I do also , we have pretty much gotten what we want with an exception of Nov 2009 we had SS and this time we originally had AKV. We wait listed BWV and it came through. I think you will get you wish..sending some Pixie Dust.

What a beautiful family. :goodvibes
Don't feel guilty re the early birth. The last month is just growing larger all organ development has already occurred.

Thank you!

And oh yes... LOGICALLY I know that ... but I still wonder what if! :rotfl:

Just part of being a mom I think!

Like I said... SSR not that bad... just my last choice of DVC!!! :rotfl:

We've only stayed one night at BWV's and actually had to leave the hotel at 1AM to catch our flight! DH feel in love with it and I think that will be his next request! Last night he said he would like to go and stay longer!

We really liked it (what we saw) but it was our last day and by the time we got down to the pool the slide was closed and DD was sad... but sat in the hot tub with me and we went back and forth pool to hot tub!

Beautiful there really!

You just can't argue with Mom (instinct). ;)

I've stayed at the Boardwalk Inn not the BWV but I did like the location.

Stay longer this trip ? That would be fun. That is the only part of BWV I will not take part in, Clowns bother me and watching little one fly out of his mouth :eek:I say that now DH has fun with it and I am in desperate need of a tan. I think my legs are the same color as the sidewalk.

I've always felt guilty about it because she was a c-section and delivered 2 weeks early at my request. So I often wonder if I'd let her go another two weeks if things would have been better. I guess you just never know right?!

V wierd -- me too!!! They wanted to do c-section on the 10th (8 days before DD) but I requested the 7th bcuz my sister was in town from CO. and yeah, even knowing how they are growing during the last month, i do always have that nagging "what if" in the back of my head.

I'm trying to decide if we should do quick service dining for those three days and then we can stock up on snack items to have in the room when we check into BLT.

is it worth it just to stock up on snack items? maybe cheaper just get a grocery order

A mother's worry never goes away either! Ugh! I can't believe the anxiety I live with since having these kiddos!

As for quick service... well we would also get our mugs and we can make the meals last for an extra day since we usually share two adult meals between the four of us. The girls are only 9.99/day so it is really pretty cheap.

I'm thinking Quick Service because we will probably spend all day by the pool and it will be easy to grab something right there.... if it happens to be a pool with a little cafe thing there.... i.e. NOT SSR.

If we get SSR we may skip it because the food options there are so limited that pretty much my kids won't eat the food there.... and my oldest is NOT picky by any stretch of the imagination.

So I guess I really can't make that decision until we know where we will be!

tagging along.. we might stay at BLT in sept.

your daughters are adorable!!!

Thanks smidgy!

We are super excited to stay at BLT and see the fireworks from the lounge!

So we are 75 days out! Only 15 days until we can find out where we will be staying for the first couple of days! We are wicked excited!

well, we are booked BLT for sept. so I will be anxious to read about your May trip, see how much you like it!

(I'm just curious how you're going to eat al that food! 3 sit down meals a day.. hubby complains about one TS every day)

we have a lake view booked. we wanted standard view, but not available. ( I am secrectly happy, and if we get our standard view, studio, just the 2 of us, that we are wait listed ofr, hubby will be relieved.. less money, and I will be disappointed!.)

:yay: :woohoo: For BLT in September!! We usually travel in Sept too ~ but I think this year we will do a late Oct early Nov trip to try and catch the last Halloween Party and first Christmas Party and a little food and wine. Maybe. DD will be in first grade this year and I'll have to feel out her new teacher for missing school for family vacations.

Anywho! We pretty much always have done deluxe dining for the last several years. This year was are doing TIW ~ I booked all our dining when we were going to do the deluxe dining. You'd never know it to look at me and hubby (and my mom for that matter) but we are not big eaters. We do however like to try a little of everything AND we like the atmospheres at most of the restaurants we choose.

I will most likely end up canceling at least one a day when I can get DH to sit down and look at them. Plus with the TIW we may just do Apps and desserts at the second of the day. With that we don't feel obligated to order all three pieces of the meal.... cuz, well we paid for it.

Last year we spent about $750 in TIPS alone! I keep forgetting to add that in when I am calculating my cost/savings. I should mention too that Mimi IS a big eater and will get wonky if she isn't fed on a regular basis. Z eats basically nothing. So we will most likely just feed her from our plates if they allow that. This kid literally lives off of cherry tomatoes and skim milk. I allow her one glass of chocolate milk a day because I think she needs the calories.

With all the walking and the swimming though I am usually hungry for something by the time we sit down. :)

well, as a waitress, may I say.... bless your little heart!!!
I can eat a lot more than hubby Nebo. he's like, one sit down meal a day kinda guy. and he really doesn't like havng to plan around eating. we liek to fit in signatures,
I still say, the best deal all around is the Hoop De Doo Revue!!
for your 2 credits, you get all you can eat food, plus a show, plus a tip (I always tip more, though), plus beer and wine!!!

We've been doing Mickey's Back Yard BBQ for the kidlets. Do you think they would enjoy the Revue? I'm just afraid they would be bored and want to leave.

I personally have never seen it.... I was thinking maybe when the little one is 5 and the big one is 7?

Hmmm 75 Unique characters/topiaries at F&G? Sounds like a challenge to me! How many can we find??? I wish there was a check list!!

at 3 & 5 yes, they would enjoy it. Katie LOVED it at 5 and I know at 3 she would have as well -- the CMs come through the tables, the kids can stand and dance along (I let Katie anyway!) she played with a washboard and just laughed at the silliness of it. The nice thing about loud fun shows like that is I feel comfortable letting DD really get into it, dance near her chair as long as she is not in the waitresses' way, and really enjoy herself. much more fun than having to sit nicely at a "regular" restaurant. and happily it is one of the places where your kids are not stuck with chicken nuggets or peanut butter & jelly:banana:

Okay here is the pre stay details!

We are doing Pop Century with the kids play free.

We need to get everyone AP's ANYWAY so the room ends up costing us:

13.17 for three nights!

So totally NOT using points when we can do this. Hoping to squeeze in another short stay with our 66 points we are saving! Who can pass this up?

SO EXCITED on such a good deal!!

Yep, can't pass up a good deal. :thumbsup2 Plus another possible visit later. :cool1:

Are you doing too much of this:laundy:

and not enough of this :wizard:::MickeyMo?

just checking in! I realized that several of my subs have dropped away....

I can't believe it has been almost a month since I figure out the POP deal!

Wow time is flying by!

Hahaha my DH would be happy if I was doing too much laundry as it is stacked all over our house.

I am a Daisy troop leader and we have been eyeball deep in cookie time! My kitchen is slowly coming back to being my own!

There is not really much planning left for us to do ... but later today I'll update with our day by day plan. We are NOT by any means commando type people but since we decided on deluxe dining (and I'll explain how I came to that conclusion) we do have ADR's for three meals a day which kind of gives us a bit of a plan.

We also LOVE evening EMH since our kiddos like afternoon pool time and also like to sleep late (well one of them does!)

I can't believe how close our trip is already!!!

Okay Day 1 ~ Arrival Day

Nothing too exciting going on here as we don't arrive until very late. My DD has a 1/2 day of school and my other DD will be in school until we are ready to leave. Mom will be working a pretty regular day.

We are flying out of Boston (about 90 minutes away) at 7:45 on a direct flight. We arrive at MCO about 10:45 and *think* we will be renting a car as ME tends to take a long time late at night. I think they try to fill it as much as possible and the last thing I need is for my kiddos to sit on a bus waiting to go to Disney for an hour after a three hour flight. Trust me ~ it is unpleasant.

We need a car anyway to travel to visit my brother.

So we will check in to Pop and probably hit the hay quite quickly.

Day 2 (First Full Day)

We have no plans for this day other than allow my DD's to sleep as late as they want to and then hit up a pool. I'm not sure on this ~ but I think since we are DVC members we can pool hop to any pool (except a few) BUT since this portion of the trip will not be on points I'm not sure that this is possible.

IF it is I am thinking we will hit up the pool at Boardwalk.

NOW I typically am not a pool hopper ~ but since we will have a car it won't be that bad!

If we can't ~ POP pool is just fine too.

We will be on QS dining for this portion of the trip and usually split meals to make them last longer. I am thinking we will try to head over to WPE because I love to split the pizza and chicken tenders with fries meals. Those seem to easily feed all four of us.

Maybe at some point we will head over to a park to do some easy rides for the girls. BUT we may skip it ~ who knows! We pretty much go where the wind takes us on days like this!

to be continued..... :)
