I am trying to hold myself together for my DH other DS14 and DD20. As well as his girlfriend who was siting in the passenger seat next to him, and is also pregnant (7 months). I am holding on to the fact that I will be able to hold his child, and try to be there like he would have wanted. It is so hard, being in pain and seeing the pain in others and know there isn't anything that can be done.

As for the driver that started the whole mess, I have been told that they plan on charging him with 2 counts of vehicular homicide, but apparantly that will take 6-8 weeks, I guess they are being very thorough with the investigation. They still have AJ in the ME's office in Anchorage, hopefully we can get him back down here to Kenai on Monday.

Again thank you for your thoughts and prayers, I appreciate being able to let go a little without worrying about causing more pain.

I am so happy that you are being blessed with the out pouring of support and caring people here. That is a major blessing in the horible event.

The extra days worked out OK for me, I did need the time, Do the children respond to a place they can visit their brother? Two children visit, one it took a year, the youngest now 13 could not even go to the funeral.

If you would not mind posting a link to the final plans I would like to post a short note of sympathy to your family.
Each one does bring a bit of peace as friends and family can leave a special memory for you, and tons of hugs.

Take care of yourself to help take care of the family, Yes, it affects the siblings deeply.

I hope you get some time to grieve in whatever way you choose. Being the mom puts you in the position of having to 'stay strong' but sometimes the strong person needs some support too.
