Please reach out to this grieving Mom. Please grab her and comfort her, bring her the peace that only You can. I pray for the ache and the loss and the pain that she is feeling, and the pain of the other family. Please bring healing and quiet to their souls and minds. Bless them in their time of need. Let those around them to know what to do and say and how to help.

I'm sorry for your loss. You can only take it minute by minute and then hour by hour. Don't rush yourself or let anyone else rush you through your grief. There are many support groups out there that you may want to look into in the near future. They do help in so many ways.

I am so sorry...I lost my 15 year old son in an automobile accident in March 2007. I know what you are going through right now, but you WILL make it. It is a tough, tough existence, but somehow we go on.

I am so sorry... There is nothing I can say to tell you how sad I am for you, but I am glad you have this 'outlet' to share your feelings, whether hurt, anger, or sadness. Day by Day, that's all you can do...but know there are many people praying for you, hurting with you and wanting to be there for you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing one of my children is my greatest fear. Although I cannot even fathom your grief I offer my deepest condolences and pray you can find solace at this horrible time.

While I have no words that will ease your pain, I wanted to let you know that I lit a candle at mass this morning for your son.

I lost my daughter...there is always a pain and an ache within my heart for her and it was almost six years ago...

Thank you all for your kind words.
I am trying to hold myself together for my DH other DS14 and DD20. As well as his girlfriend who was siting in the passenger seat next to him, and is also pregnant (7 months). I am holding on to the fact that I will be able to hold his child, and try to be there like he would have wanted. It is so hard, being in pain and seeing the pain in others and know there isn't anything that can be done.

As for the driver that started the whole mess, I have been told that they plan on charging him with 2 counts of vehicular homicide, but apparantly that will take 6-8 weeks, I guess they are being very thorough with the investigation. They still have AJ in the ME's office in Anchorage, hopefully we can get him back down here to Kenai on Monday.

Again thank you for your thoughts and prayers, I appreciate being able to let go a little without worrying about causing more pain.

My heart breaks for you in the loss of your son. I am glad to learn he has left you a baby to love. My dad was killed when I was five, and my mother was pregnant with his son. That baby brought us all so much joy and helped lessen our grief. I know the baby will be a blessing to you. I am so very sorry for you. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I have been coming back to this thread all day wishing I could think of something to say that might comfort you in some small way but there is nothing.

I too am so sorry. As a mother my heart breaks for you and I cannot begin to imagine your pain. I pray that God will send you peace.

My mother died on July 23 of this year. She lost my brother, her only son, when her was eighteen in an accident. She once told me that it took many years but there finally came a day when she could remember him in all of his sweetness rather then with pain. I hope that day comes sooner for you.

This is a great place to come and let go. There is great release in saying exactly what you want to without having to guard your tongue.
