I have done 1/2 solo trips, 5 days by myself. This April is an 11 night trip. No one joining me. Unless some of my DIS friends are there at the same time. I don't have a problem with doing things by myself, I went to London for 2 weeks by myself a couple of decades ago :scared1: (before my Disney gene was activated) but I thought it would be nice if some friends either old or new could meet up with me. Let me know if you are going to be in the World April 13-24.

Have a great time Kim! I will be on the left coast during this time. I have only been at WDW for a few days at a time by myself too.

Oh, am I jealous. I would love ten or eleven days where it's all about me and what I want to do. Rise whenever I happen to wake up...swim when I want...go to whatever park I choose whenever I feel like going...browsing in stores as long as I please...ten or eleven days of heaven.

I wish I were going then, but I'm not. I'd be happy to Hoop Dee Do with you or something.

Have a great time. If you can, send us pics of what you did that day!!!

Not a problem. Single, no kids and my friend who I usually go to Disney with goes for Star Wars Weekends and that is getting into the too hot weather for me. So April is the perfect time weather wise for me. And I love Flower and Garden. So this is my first long solo trip.

And the trip has a few other firsts. Hoop de Doo, California Grill, Yee Haw Bob, my first DVC points rental.

Now I just have to figure out how to get from Hoop De Doo back to POFQ without a car. I always use Disney transportation. Maybe the boat back to Magic Kingdom and the bus back to POFQ. Or maybe I can call a cab from the Outpost. That would certainly be shorter.

I wish I could join you, Kim! It's been 7 or 8 years since I've been able to do a F&G visit, and that was with kids, so would love to do that solo, too.

Hi Kim,

I'd gladly join you for some fun, but will be in California for most of your trip.

You will have an awesome time.

Thanks, Kevin. You and Pete were bad influences on me this week. I had to make an ADR for Yachtsman for my last night. The thought of those fantastic pull apart rolls was too much to resist. And of course their superb steaks didn't sway me either. :lmao:

I am jealous of you. I love Disney but my husband could take it or leave it. I would love to be able to go more WDW more often but have some vision issues so afraid to go bymyself. Have a wonderful time.

Kim, another option is a bus from the Outpost to Downtown Disney then bus to POFQ.

Or I could just take the boat from DTD to POFQ. I love that boat ride. Especially at night. As you get near POFQ, there is a night blooming jasmine bush. You can't see it, but you can smell it. Its lovely.

My family will be there April 23-26.

We are planning on doing Yehaa Bob on the 23rd or 24th.

Kim,

You'll have a great time. Spending time alone at Disney World can be very therapudic. Having the ability to "call the shots" and do what you feel like at a moments noitce is a good feeling.

Have a great time and be sure to tell us how your trip went when you get back. :)

Hi Skip. I will be doing Yee Haw Bob the week before while I'm staying at POFQ. And the 23rd is my last night, and I will be spending it at Epcot as long as I can. After my dinner at Yachtsman.

Hey Kim!!

I will certainly come over and hang out with you for a day! I will actually be dogsitting from the 16th - 20th so that weekend would be perfect!!

How delightful!

No children here either, but my partner likes to vacation in other ways and he likes me to join him. And I can't get that much time off from work.

It will really be a stretch in December because I want to add days on both sides of the podcast cruise.

Yup, I am envious!

Have fun! :goodvibes

Kim, I could be mistaken, but I think there may be a specialty bus that will pick you up and take you directly to Hoop De Doo. I recall seeing a resort bus dropping off people for the revue one of the many times we've visited the campground, but since I wasn't going to HDD I could be wrong. Would certainly be worth asking at the front desk.

Enjoy your trip. I went to Epcot alone on Friday for F&G and can't tell you how nice it was to move on my schedule and take pictures of what I wanted.

I'm up for a Dole Whip meet if anyone decides to put one together!
