My first totally solo trip. I'm a little nervous.

Kim, I could be mistaken, but I think there may be a specialty bus that will pick you up and take you directly to Hoop De Doo. I recall seeing a resort bus dropping off people for the revue one of the many times we've visited the campground, but since I wasn't going to HDD I could be wrong. Would certainly be worth asking at the front desk.

Enjoy your trip. I went to Epcot alone on Friday for F&G and can't tell you how nice it was to move on my schedule and take pictures of what I wanted.

I'm up for a Dole Whip meet if anyone decides to put one together!

I want to do a solo trip sometime.....I doubt my husband will want me to. He loves WDW, but he not a geek like me. I want to walk slowly and take pictures & just geek out. He & my 3 kids want to rush from attraction to attraction *sigh*

I will certainly come over and hang out with you for a day! I will actually be dogsitting from the 16th - 20th so that weekend would be perfect!!

Now I just have to figure out how to get from Hoop De Doo back to POFQ without a car. I always use Disney transportation. Maybe the boat back to Magic Kingdom and the bus back to POFQ. Or maybe I can call a cab from the Outpost. That would certainly be shorter.

Last time I did Hoop De Doo, it was the late show, and there were busses for every resort just outside Pioneer Hall. We didn't have to take a bus to DTD first and transfer. That would have been my way of getting back had there not been a direct bus waiting for us.

If they don't have the direct busses and the MK is still running boats, I'd probably take the boat and transfer to the bus.

Thanks, it does seem logical to have buses going to the resorts since Fort Wilderness is off the beaten track.

And the trip has a few other firsts. Hoop de Doo, California Grill, Yee Haw Bob, my first DVC points rental.

Wish I was there. You are going to have such a great time, especially enjoying the beautiful blooms at epcot!

I haven't done a solo trip like that before, but i've done a day here or there while i snuck away on a business trip. I have to say, i enjoyed it, being able to do whatever i wanted, not worrying about anyone else. Mind you, it was sometimes awkward, maybe for other people more so than me.....like waiting in line for Soarin by myself and the family next to me were just in awe that I was there all day by myself. I don't mind eating my myself either these days (although there was a time i did- i've since gotten over that!).

Cali Grill, HDD etc. - sounds like a great trip!!!! Hopefully you find some other DISers to meet up with.

yeah, i would say, take the boat back to the MK (will it stop at WL and CR first though?)? the cab would definitely be much much shorter. HOwever, keep in mind, i think you can only get to Pioneer hall by bus or boat? do they even let cabs back there? or would you have to get a bus to the depot, then get a cab?
